Is It My Vision Or My Printer ?

Discuss what you like in here. But try and keep it reasonably civilised!

I use to have horrible vision until my contacts. I have a rare eye disease and never thought this was the way you are suppose to see so I never really noticed much detail. Anyway enough of the babbling the problem is now whenever I go to print a cover out if I look close enough I see these lines within the print result. Like 6 inch lines across the dvd image. Is this normal or is my printer broken ? Anyone have any printed dvd cover pictures so I can compare ?

If the lines are hard to see, unless you look up close, I would not worry. My Epsons have always printed very faint lines across. I think it is normal.

Bazzah and HalfBreed thanks.

HalfBreed I only notice the banding when looking at the dvd cover at about 2 to 3 inches close. Once I go to like 4 to 6 inches plus not noticeable anymore. I have seen where if I use high instead of standard it is less noticeable as well.

I just noticed with my first couple of print results I can't notice any banding at all no matter how close I look up to it. Something has to be wrong. How can I make less banding please? Is my ink clogged?

Not really sure Max, i would suggest cleaning the printheads and checking if your ink cartridges are low.

Thanks. To clean the print heads you do that from your pc and don't have to open the printer at all correct ?

Thanks. I did that before and it did not help. So I don't think that is the problem but will try something else to see.
