I am aware it's not officially available on Blu-ray, or even HD. Taking a fan made Upscale and putting it on Blu-ray.
This is what I have so far. Each Season will follow this template. I just don't have any idea what to do with the back, aside from the usual text. I also used the Blu-ray Recordable logo rather than the regular Blu-ray, because these would be burned discs. It's in a vain effort to stop someone from downloading the cover and selling a set as if it were legit.
I do wanna do a reverse side with the Episodes, Stardates and Original Air Dates

Don't know much about Star Trek. Is the middle thing a big part of the show (or of your cover), meaning you're not gonna put anything on top/over it? I would recommend finishing the template with credits and so on to see how much space you have left and then you can work from there. At the moment the spine also looks way to busy, I would recommend reducing the size of basically everything on it, especially the title and the "-" & "eye" logos. The Red box to mark season one is also unnecessary big and the spacing on the text there is way too much imo.

Shrunk down the Season label, and added some stuff in the back. Also re-organized the spine.

hey scar!
That's a good start. What spine width are you going for with this cover? (how many discs per case) Your preview here is 6424x3496 which is HUGE
I wouldn't worry about what other people are going to do with the cover. You have no control over that anyway. If you like that BD logo, fine, otherwise
use the normal one. There is already another Blu ray cover for DS9 in the gallery btw.
Did you copy/paste that background or use it as a pattern, because there is clearly a pattern visible. I would google space pics that are big enough, so
you dont have to repeat them. The Nasa website has tons of them as well.
DS9 isnt available on BD, but if it was to release, it certainly would use the Paramount/CBS template. You could use TNG covers as a reference.
Keep at it

Good start, love that series!
I pretty much have the same suggestions as everyone. The background has watermark on it, so it needs to be changed. The red box with Season 1 on the front is too big and not sure why it's red, but maybe make it smaller so it doesn't catch the eye so much. And finally, the Specifications are also too big. It looks weird like this, lol
Overall, I like the idea and where you are going with this. Good luck!

I'm aiming for 15mm, 4 disc for DS9 Season 1, then Six Discs each for Seasons 2-7 (26 episodes each, 5+5+4+4+4+4). I like starting out huge and crushing it down, helps with artifacting.
The background is a pattern I found online. I wish there was a way I could align such patterns like bricks, I mean you can if you do multiple layers, rearrange them, flip them, etc.
As for caring what people do, eh, I kind of care. Years ago, I made some reproduction labels for SNES games because my games were in bad shape. I put them online and someone used them to sell counterfeit carts on Aliexpress and I felt soooo bad. So now I mark it in some way so that it can't be easily used for such things.

I wanted to bring the Season 1 label further in, to avoid accidental cut off

Wouldn't it be better to have the image on the front? I'm not a fan of it in the middle of the whole cover as you have it. Also when closed and on the shelf the spine will be a mess if you don't already know what it is and why it's there...
