I noticed sauron and booche chatting about this on the shoutbox and i thought it's worth a thread of it's own.

What types of drawing devices do you use???
What are the strong and weak points of that device???
Would you recommend it to others over the use of a standard (optical mouse) device???

I personally just use a optical mouse. It can be a pain in the butt sometime but i've got used to it and found ways to counteract the sometimes inaccurate and involuntary movement it can produce. I've always wondered if it's worth investing in a graphics tablet so i could branch out in to different styles and more custom work. I have a traditional art background (drawing and water colours etc) and i wonder if a graphics tablet would make much of a difference to how i use Paint Shop??!??
Does anyone recommend a graphics tablet as a tool that makes cover making easier or is it not worth buying one???

I use an optical mouse. I have a Wacom tablet too, but I have never got on with it. I find the mouse more precise :)

I would not recommend the Graphire 4 for drawing however its great for cloning, masking, and cutting out images. Graphire 4 has 512 pressure levels.
If you want to draw go for the wacom introus 3 comes with better software 1024 pressure levels and a heap of different pens you can buy for sketching etc..ect...ect... just make sure you have the right size tablet for your moniter i have a 15' moniter and use a 6x8 tablet which i think is A5 6x11 is better for wide screen moniters
