I'd say yes to contributor but he lacks polish on design skills for artist, misses basic stuff like proper anti alias on text and so on, let him work on it a little more before getting the green.

I concur. He does make fantastic designs, but often misses those finishing touches. Also, a general rule of thumb here is to always promote one step at a time. Despite us making some exceptions for some of you EFX guys
