If anyone could help me on this one that would be great. I attempted this cover after getting some lessons on how to use photoshop a little better. This is my first full completed cover on my own. Please explain how to improve and show me how to do it from a video if possible. Also if you wanna help make this Andre (1994) blu-ray cover better please add on!

One of the rules of cover making or working with pictures in general is never to stretch the photo, leave the aspect ratio as it is. When pasting a photo on your template, press ctrl+t in photoshop to resize the image and hold down shift while resizing in order to keep the aspect ratio.

I would suggest using one of the templates available here. This will help you a lot with the layout of the cover.

Holding down Shift in newer versions of Photoshop will disable the constrain proportions option. Just make sure that on the top of your window the little link icon is selected.

I didn't know about this thanks!. I knew Crtl+T would get me back to resizing though.

I made some alterations but I know it's still not good enough for posting on here. Hopefully I'm headed the right direction though on improvement.

Start with the front....

picture not stretched or crushed. It should look like this.

Keep in mind that for 30 years old films, resources are of less quality.

Okay I re-tried the front cover and this time I did hold shift down like everyone said. How is this version?

The image on the front is very stretched. See my post above, as you may not have to hold shift. Just make sure the little link icon is selected, and you won't need to hold shift.
