I know this may not seem like a big issue. But I think one rule for requests should be: Title is already released on physical media. So an artist does not waste time creating a cover/label for something that isn't released and/or may never get released.

For example, I was browsing through the "filled requests" pages and saw one for Frighteners. The cover was done (gorgeous by the way) and was for the Arrow release. The thing is, they only teased the release but it never came out. The only 4K of Frighteners is from Turbine.

There may be others, but that is only one that stood out since I have that 4K and created my own cover for it.

As an amateur cover artist, I know the work it takes to do them and feel artists here should not feel obligated to fill requests for titles that are not out yet. Plus the fact that majority of time, no one knows the stats of audio and bonus features before hand.

Again, not sure if this is issue or not. Just my two cents! :^)

I don't see this as a major issue. The cover in question (Frighteners) has been downloaded a dozen times, so it has helped someone. Some people like us will be very particular about details being correct, but some people are not so bothered.

I personally don't understand the upload of any cover for movies that are not released yet.

Who needs a cover for a movie that just made it to the theaters?! Especially for major titles we se that from time to time in competitions.

some people may have digitally and than transfer than to dvd-r. its also fun to create covers for certain movies or shows. sometimes someone makes a cover and the release could take yrs to come out. or sometimes there could be a combination of 10 volumes of a show but no full complete series and rather than 10 individual cases ppl will downsize them to 1 or 2 cases.

a few examples would be Teenage mutant ninja turtles (2003) until recently it didn't have a full series release just a few odd seasons and mixed volumes.

The big problem that no one thinks about with rules is "who enforces them" such a rule would require a lot of time to research and maintain.

Not many have that kind of time to invest for such a trivial thing, also admins must quite simply ask what benefit would the site gain from such a policy change?

I don't see any positive side to it, in fact it would have a negative effect on those who desire such things and thus harm the site making it less popular.

I get the thinking out loud and perfect world type fantasy musing but in reality we have to weight the benefit to the site vs time and/or cost required to implemented and/or maintain any change.

No biggie. I see what you are getting at. Just something I was thinking of and threw my 2 cents out there.

We always appreciate ideas, even if they aren't always implemented :)
