So how long does it take Photoshop to open for you?

Mine takes roughly 8-10 secs.

Mine's about the same but just installed PS CS3 and it loads a bit faster.

It completely depends on what plug-ins etc you have installed. But I have recently upgraded to CS3, and it is MUCH faster to load. About 10 seconds with all my plug-ins. CS2 took twice as long.

Mine doesn't take long at all about 10 seconds. CS3 loads up so much quicker.

Well, at least I need to restart the app after about 20 hours or so.. otherwise it muches up all the available ram..
And I always have music on, which starts to stutter if PS uses up 99% of my ram - not an effect you want for a long period of time :P
