I've been uploading a number of DVD labels over the past few days however, some of them have now disappeared. The only reason I can think is that they do not meet some criteria I'm not aware of. If that is the case, why would they be visible in the first place, as they would have had to have been approved by Admin?

Have you checked the dupes and errors section?

Ahhh yes. My covers had been rejected due to having center 'holes'. I thought this was a little harsh, as the full picture is there - I simply applied a transparent mask, giving a faint outline of the non printable parts of the disc, including a transparent center hole, with the rest of the picture still visible beneath that. Non of which matters, when the label is finally printed onto a disc. By that reasoning, shouldn't any labels that have had their corners cropped off, leaving a just a circular Label, be rejected as well? If not, why not?
It seems that some Admin are approving my labels, holes and all and some are then deleting them afterwards and some are not. Case in point - run a search for Pendragon and you'll notice I've still got a few labels that haven't been deleted. So it appears this is just down to particular Admin on how they interpret the 'center hole' rule?
I myself prefer a complete image on a label. I also like to see exactly what would be lost when printing a label, without having to download it and loading it into my disc label print program. Which is why I thought a faint transparent mask, highlighting the non-printable areas of a label, would be of great use to people. Saves downloaders time and the site bandwidth. Which can only be a good thing right?
It's not really a problem for me, now that I know. I can simply hide the mask layer, resave and upload the label.

A valid point if the issue is alignment.
I think I'll turn off my "White Border" layer from now on.

As the rules state - we do not accept labels with holes. This is simply due to the fact that, when printing "full face", printer registration errors can cause part of the "hole" to be printed.
Hmmm. I print all my stuff onto full face printable discs, so thought my mask template, which I designed to allow for some printing error, would have been fine. However, as I only use one disc printing program, I'll take your word for my mask can have a problem with other disc printing programs.
As I say, it's not a problem for me now that I know. I can simply resave the labels without the masks.
I did see the compliment (thank you

) in the 'Dupes and Errors' forum, just didn't have time to respond.
