Every week, this thread creates such a challenge for the HiResCovers community... we're asked to narrow down an incredible artist's portfolio to just a handful of amazing pieces AND try to select items that have not yet been chosen! It just keeping getting harder and harder, and Zungam's work is no exception!
Titanic
I had the pleasure of judging this entry for Bunny Dojo's Battle Royale a few years back. It was a treat then and it is a treat now. An absolutely gorgeous blend of contrasting colors, rich textures, clever design elements, and striking imagery from the film itself. Simply stunning work.
Django Unchained
I'm a sucker for an eye-popping color scheme, detailed textures, and adept usage of fonts... and Zungam knows what he's doing in those areas (among other areas as well). The front cover, in particular, does so much with so little. A shackle and chain with bold colors and a perfect typographic layout is so effective and iconic. Such an incredible design.
Prometheus
An ambitious cover that seemed to be a training ground for future greatness. When viewed at full resolution, some masking and color balance issues are present, but for a cover that is 8 years old, these minor issues are things that were clearly rectified on future designs. I could be wrong, but this cover felt like a turning point that taught Zungam a lot of new tricks to further refine on his later works. All of this is not to say that this cover isn't already a shining example of a talented craftsman's masterful use of colors, textures, typography, and layout. A beautiful cover.
Congratulation on Designer of the Week, Zungam!

Zungam might be the most skillfully versatile custom cover designer we've had. He and Ctaulbee immediately come to mind as being exceedingly willing to experiment with so many different styles and always succeeding in creating something interesting.
I remember watching Zungam build the front cover of this one in a WIP thread and thinking, "I wish I made that!"
An ideal complement to the film and one of the all-time examples of what custom covers can achieve, lovingly crafted and overflowing with intricate detail:
While the rest of us are making covers, sometimes Zungam goes ahead and creates a genuine work of art.

I have to agree with all of the above - and then add of my own.
Each movie with a distinct, fresh take and bold design. Typography, layout. All is there.

A designer knows he has achieved perfection - not when there's nothing left to add - but when there's nothing left to take away
