I have found over the years that harsh blacks and whites often create too much contrast depending on the color palette of the art, meaning on texts or titles primarily I find it best to reduce that effect, this was something pointed out to me many, many years ago by a good friend.
The idea is to dial down 100% white or 100% Black on those items by a few percentage points, one could also reduce their opacity ever so slightly or add a very slight tint, texture or gradient to them so they are less stark and harsh.

The effect is subtle but that is the intent
Your eye is the best judge of these things, thus it is best to just try and see.
