Okay so I'm just wondering how you save your covers when you're done with them in for example Photoshop CS2.
I so far just use the "Save As" and maximize the quality-setting, which usually results in a 4-10mb jpg-file.
And for what I've seen many "known" custom artist has covers at tops 5mb's and still look better than mine (not just designwise

)..
So is there any way to save it "optimized", and if so - how do you do?

In photoshop you should save at 10 or 11. 12 just adds some PS info that double the filesize and does nothing to the quality. I also save in Baseline Optimized not that I know what difference between that and standard is though. Progressive is for saving web based porn pictures for people with slow internet.

Baseline Standard is format recognized by most web browsers
Baseline Optimized creates a file with optimized colour and slightly smaller file sizes
Progressive improves quality/detail of your image as it downloads.................you say how many you want
is this any use to you m8y
