You may notice a couple of changes in the way the gallery works. Apart from master designers, all uploads will be uploaded to an 'Awaiting approval' album. You can no longer choose a particular album, such as 'DVD Covers A'

Once your upload has been seen by a member of staff, they will tag their name to it, such as Being reviewed by Irrob'. It will then be visible to you in the 'awaiting approval' album. Once your upload has been approved, it will then be transfered to the correct album, and the moderators name removed. If your submission is rejected, it will be moved to 'Rejected Submissions'. Here you will be able to view the image for about a week before it is removed. You will be able to see who has rejected your upload, and why. We hope that this will encourage uploaders to read the upload rules, and have a visual representation on what is not accepted. All rejected images will have 'REJECTED' tagged next to the filename.

We have also just created a new HD screenshot album. Hopefully, this will soon be filled with screen grabs from the new HD trailers that are available, further assisting you in making your new covers! If you would like to add to this collection, please remember to see the updated upload rules.

Any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!

this way is easier and better. If you(plural) can't complete the super hard and super difficult task of reading the rules before uploading then you(plural) deserve to be publicly humiliated and forced to watch Wings for 3 hours straight.

Another change to the gallery. You know have the option to replace images. For example, if you uploaded a cover, and later spotted a spelling mistake, simply go to that image in the gallery, and hit 'replace file'.

I find this change to the gallery very annoying. Consider that since the managment change, regular old designers, like myself, had their submissions automatically approved. Now it's like we can't be trusted to submit quality work. I understand that you want to keep a high standard but this rule change is like a slap in the face. This is the only place I submit labels (350 of them so far) cause I feel it's the best managed with the highest standards. But, this has me ticked off.

just a point about how the approval section works. at the moment i upload work...then wait for a mod to come along to post it in the 'awaiting approval' section BEFORE its visible...then wait for the same mod to ok it?
seems a bit of a strange way of doing it to me. i fully agree with the process, but think it should be automatically visible (at the preview size only) in the awaiting approval area straight away.then a mod should tag it when they're reviewing it..
i would also like to see(initially) a bit more of an explanation of why a cover is rejected, and a suggestion for improvment or asking them to post the cover in wip for other members to help them correct poor work, where they may not know how to correct it themselves.
another thing to look out for - kr has rejected herbie for being the wrong size, when there is so much more wrong with it (its not level/creases down the spine ect)..so what happens when they correct the dimensions do you let the other stuff go? or piss them off by rejecting it again for a different reason? i think you need to list everything you can see a problem with straight away.
sorry if this appears like a rant..its more of a suggestion
