My covers, check em out please.
Sorry, I am back onto dialup so linking every file will take about 4 hours.
If you really want me to I will though.

You could always search for coffeeman and see all the covers at once.

Okay so I'm noone to say but I had a few minutes free and had a quick look, so I'll offer my oppinions anyway - like the bitch I am.. tongue2.gif

So I really like the idea of a Stephen King Colletion set. However, the front and back doesn't match up - not really fitting each other, perhaps just change the hue of the back to the same purple-isch on the front?
And the back looks a bit plain - I'd try and use some less spacing between the textrows and try and add some more pics or something that would liven up the back a bit and make it look a little more "busy",

As for the Shirley Temple collection - it looks good too. And it's got that "collection feel", however I'm not a big fan of very "simple" covers, what I'm trying to say is that it looks kinda empty - but that's probably just my personal oppinion..

And the Baby Einstein cover looks good in my eyes, perhaps just a tad colorless front since it's a "kidflick". But it's good.. The only thing I can remark on is that the R1 and DisneyDVD logo on the back looks a bit at the large side.

And I'm not gonna mention the Mortal Combat covers since I really dislike the movies and that would probably affect my judgement whistle.gif

Anyway, nice work and I wish you the best 8834.gif

I don't consider it "belittling", I consider it humour, but hey, not everybody has the same sense of humour as me, and thats a good thing i suppose. Mainly these covers are done for my own personal benefit and I thought other people would like to have a complete collection the same as me, thats why I posted them.

Shady Pacific is a small distribution company in Australia and through them is how I obtained many of the hard to get movies. Less than half of the these movies are available in Australia. You wouldn't believe that Mortal Kombat 1 has only been available for about 4 months here. Most of the Shirley Temple ones still aren't available.

Thanks, your opinions are appreciated.
With the King ones, it was quite difficult to make a complete collection with over 60 movies in total. Some movies really had minimal synopsis so I had to open the text. And as for the pictures, it just seemed impossible to get decent pictures for some of them due to some movies best being forgotten. I love STephen King books and movies be he sure did make some crap.

And come on, I'm hurt that you dislike them, they are so cool, they are legendary, they are fantastic, ahhh
who am I kidding, they suck. You win.

nothing wrong with sharing "hard to get covers" i am all for that............. thumb.gif

never heard of "shady pacific" though......................but, there are plenty of things i have never heard of winking.gif

Anyways.....................i got strange sense of humour myself...................but, i do not let it influence my covers......well, hardly ever.

All, i would say is amend the legals to suit.................then all would be fine thumb.gif

I got a laugh out of your warning. Maybe it's just the aussie in me though. Soon enough you'll get used to the fact that a lot of peeps in other parts of the world don't have the same funny bone as aussies.

Had a quick look. Mortal Kombat looked ok.

The Shirley temple one looked true to the era, but I'd like to see some "scrolls" or something around the oval the syopsis is in to fill the space a little more. Perhaps like an old style mirror, rather than the bare oval?

Good luck.

Some of the covers look ok .............however!!!

I have a major issue with artists stealing other artists creations and recreating them to suit there needs.
Y ou may alter them for private use but if you release em onto a site then i really hope you asked the original artist if you could use there template ????????? because if you didn't then the reprocutions could cause alot of hatred for the site it's hosted on.

What am i talking about well your Shirley Temple Collection it litterally a tiny little bit modded from this:

This cover was designed by venome who is an artist here also and you can clearly see they are the same minus the text on at bottom which the white box has been made bigger!

So in theory all you did was remove all venome details of the neverending story and added you own pictures and synopsis for that film not much originality there.

I'll leave it there for now because somebody on here has already upset me this evening.
