Cover Comp For Artists??????

I have noticed that the skills of our Artists seem to be getting to the point where some of them should be promoted to Resident Artist.
So i got my little blonde brain thinking
Why dont we have a comp for the Artists on the site to prove themselves and the top 3 placings get promoted to Resident Artist
But instead of having the Resident Artists judge this have a few of the contributers vote
Or have another useless poll
Anyway I will leave this up to the Mods to decide

Would it be possible to have another category i know another one sort of between artist and resident seems a pretty daunting jump for some people to go from artist to resident, i am not sure if i would ever have the confidence to ask to be promoted, but then again if my PS skills improve a bit who knows. Anyhoo just a query.

Anyone can nominate themselves or nominate someone to be promoted anyway, they just have to put their or someone's name forward to Bazzah or FB and then it gets put in the artist section for the current artists to vote on.

Anyone can do this, and I think that it is the best way for this IMO. I don't think a competition for something like this would work

Respectable suggestions. Rather than a comp to promote, keep the current voting system, as these designer tags suggest consistency in both quality and quantity of work. A comp mainly identifies who's skill is "on" for the moment and does not imply quality body of work IMO. Speaking of which, artists go to the artist thread. We should discuss a certain nominee.

Afraid they are all right TS. It wouldnt be a fair way to promote. It's not just about how good you are, it's about how consistent you are. Keep thinking of great new ideas tho!
