I am new to making covers and am using Microsoft paint to tinker with some covers.
I want to get movie poster images on the Internet and format them to fit a blu Ray cover without messing up the image ratio.
Can anyone tell me what size to make the front image of the cover in pixels? That seems to be how paint is formatting the measurement.
Thanks a lot!

The most common sized Blu-ray Case would be 3173px X 1762px @ 300dpi there are other variants but they are close in size as mostly the spines change.

This works out to a 1523px X 1762px front and back, then a 127px X 1762px spine again all @ 300dpi

I would recommend getting software that will be better like Photoshop, Gimp (Free) or Affinity Photo (Only available on Mac at the moment)
