Where did your nickname come from?
From the fact that I LOVE bowling. And that I kinda suck at it.
What part of the world do you come from?
I am from Hawaii, but living in Utah for now.
What got you into designing covers in the first place?
I work in the Media area of a public library. I was looking online for artwork I could just print out for a display I was doing, and I came across Hires Covers. I love design, so I thought I would give it a go, even though I had NO Photoshop experience.
Is there anyone on the cover making scene that has inspired you?
My favorite designer is BunnyDojo. I love his color schemes, his attention to layout and professional look of his finished products. And Zungam is quickly following in those design footsteps, in my opinion.
What would be your best advice to any up and coming designer?
Don’t give up when your covers don’t get much attention. And use the WIP and just keep making covers. Like anything else, design takes practice, patience and persistence.
What’s your favourite cover you have made?
Probably Tank Girl. Thor is a close second.
What’s your least favourite cover you have made?
Probably my What About Bob. It has hints of what I was envisioned, but I had ZERO resources. I tried making something from all DVD screencaps. And it is crap.
What’s your favourite cover that someone else has made?
Kernie’s “Avengers†set or BunnyDojo’s “Blade Runnerâ€.

What is your real name?
Matthew Kammerer
What do you do for a living?
I’m a Media Librarian.
Any kids (that you know of)?
Nope.
Any brothers/sisters?
Two brothers, two sisters.
What was your childhood like? Share an interesting "growing up" story.
I grew up in a Mormon family, five kids on a middle school teacher’s salary. We could not afford real cereal or real milk. I ate unsweetened rice puffs every morning. The powdered milk poured on top would leave a white sour film on top and white water on bottom. Years later, my dad revealed that he couldn’t stomach the powdered milk, and for years had a secret stash of real milk that only he would drink. What a punk.
What is your favourite food?
Anything Italian. Especially Pizza.
What is your favourite type of music/band?
I love electronic music. My favorite three are Ulrich Schnauss, M83, and Windy & Carl.
What is your favourite movie of all time?
The Godfather. The Court Jester is a close second
What one place would you like to visit?
Iceland.
What other hobbies do you have besides movies & graphics?
Music. I write and produce music under the name Mkaio.
What is the best thing that ever happened to you?
Leaving Mormonism, coming out of the closet, meeting an amazing partner, Tom.
What is the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you?
I ran to the beach in my brother’s board shorts the day after I got back home after being gone for two years. I was so excited. I dove right in, swam around for a long time. Coming out of the water, all these people on the beach were just staring at me. I looked down, realize these white board shorts were completely see-through, and left NOTHING to the imagination. I am just glad the water was warm.
What is your favourite colour?
Brown.
What is your favourite animal?
A lemur.
Who is your favourite actor?
Probably Leonardo DiCaprio. I don’t want to like him, but he is always awesome.
If you could meet one person, who would it be, and why?
Kanye West. To slap him.
If you could be one person, who would it be and why?
David Bowie. Because he is rad.
What super power would you have, and why?
I want to fly. Because I love seeing new places, but I actually LOATHE air travel.
What is your favourite car or motorcycle?
A Nissan Titan, please.
Are you a night-owl or an early-bird?
Definitely a night owl. I hate the mornings.
If you knew you had 24 hours to live, how would you spend that time?
Doing something crazy, like robbing a bank, skydiving without a parachute, something like that.

Have you ever been shot?
No, but I did get jumped and have a gun pulled on me.
Have you ever shot someone?
Not yet.
What size feet do you have?
13 or 14. Depends on the shoemaker.
Do you like Spam?
I LOVE Spam! I am from Hawaii, we love Spam.
Do you like Spam mail?
Ewwww, no.
What's your favourite colour of sky?
If I am at the beach, super blue. If I am inside, I LOVE a grey sky.
Did you go out last night?
No, I had a stomach flu. Yuck.
What’s your worst nightmare?
Being burned alive.
If you won a million dollars, what is the first thing you would do with the money?
Buy a house, and give the rest to my friends and family who needed it.
Pick three people of your preferred s3x, and decide if you would marry, sleep with, or throw them off a cliff.
Marry Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Sleep with Zac Efron, Throw Shia LaBeouf off a VERY tall cliff.
Anything else you feel like sharing with the community?
The friendships and fun I have with you all on this site is more than a digital experience. I feel like I know many of you, even though we have never met. I really value this unique hobby we all have, and am glad that this even exists for all of us.
