Well, for me it was a joyous day, when I learned that this old western show was going to be dusted off and re-furbished for a new age. I have still to see the movie, but I thought I'd give it a whirl anyway.
So far I have been collecting artwork, and think I have what I need - and the idea for layout - but images are still far from my work bench - as I have decided to try and make my own custom TT, inspired by the old Disneyland resort railway posters. This may take me some time LOL!
So far I've just been sketching in the old-fahioned way, but I'm getting close to the finishing touches; so I thought I'd scan my progress and start this thread.

I love it! I never knew you had great typography skills!

I know this is off topic, but I think you should make your own, big TT for
Dances with Wolves for a great wow factor.

Thanks for all your comments - really helps me on the way!
I'm sorry if y'all think I handcrafted the letters from the bottom. I have source material from several Disneyland park themes, so really it's some graphic designer at Disney's who came up with the letters. I have simply adjusted them in order to create the missing letters in my TT, when I drew them onto paper.
Anyway - for me the most important thing is trying to 'transfer' my drawing into Ps or Ai (in which I basically suck) - and then learn as much from this project that I can.
Here's a small update. Placements of the banners aren't final (the banners aren't necessarily finished either); I'm just playing around with how to present the actor names. If I can find a good image of LR's colt I'll try and add that also to the small items at the bottom.

Very nice JR, the slanted line on the N could be a bit bolder ?
