Final touches are being made on a brand new MR COVERS site, featuring design inspiration, interviews, resources, and tutorials to energize discussion and creativity across your favorite custom cover sites.

Most importantly, it will host Cover Site Battle Royal III!

HiRes will look to take back the championship this year and may be represented by up to 3 Designers and 4 Judges!

The selected titles will be an Academy Award-winning classic, and this year's Academy Award-winner for Best Picture.

Champions Kernie82 and BPMFord will join as bonus judges representing MR COVERS.

Monday, February 18 — Voting for the classic film choice begins
Monday, February 25 — Both film choices are announced
Monday, March 4 — Each site must have their final representatives selected, the design challenge officially begins!
Monday, April 1 — All entries must be received to submit for judging
Monday, April 8 — Judges’ scores and comments should be in, and the winner will be announced!

Great news, but since I suck at competitions (I hate restrictions), I'm not gonna enter, but I'm sure to be blown away by awesome entries as always.

Many contestants might be breathing a sigh of relief to know that I won't be competing this year... but trust me, no one is more relieved than I am. The caliber of the designers in the cover scene continues to enhance exponentially, and I for one am glad to no longer feel the pressure of competing against such stiff competition.

However, following the old "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" philosophy, I'm very excited to be judging this year! Bring your A-games, ladies and gentlemen, because if you thought competing against me was tough... just wait till I'm critiquing your stuff!!!

But in all seriousness, best of luck to all entrants... I'm anxiously awaiting the time when I can see all the spectacular work!!

This year, the titles will be announced a full week before sites have to finalize their representatives. Don't count yourself out yet, you might want to participate. The only other real restriction is that you can't put your name on the cover.

This one, it's just individual. But, depending on how the new site works out, there are some wild ideas in waiting from over the years. Duos, teams, site-wide collaborations, all sorts of variations.
