So how do you do this?

I was thinking off quoting Tolkien and posting the final goodbye that Gandalf said to the hobbits before he left them in the last book. Though it seemed a bit too much to say "do not weep, for not all tears are an evil"


I have decided to leave the cover scene, which also means that I will no longer be a member of the staff of this site. This day has been coming for a while, and a few days ago I finally told Bazzah the news.

My work at school as a graphics designer and my personal life means that my focus have shifted and I'm no longer able to put any time into the cover scene.

This site has been an important part of my life for the last 8 years, and I wouldn't be where I am today, if it wasn't for the members of this site. It has been a privilege and an honor to work with the staff and the talented designers, that have been an exceptional source of inspiration for me throughout the years.

Before the final goodbye, I would like to offer off any work files, to those of interest, just send me a pm, and we'll find out something.

Some day I might see you again, but until that time, I bid you adieu and wish you all a prosperous life.

Thanks for everything you've done here. You are the master of Typography and you're on my list of favorite designers.You have always helped me out with special requests via PM. (Criterion templates etc.) and that is much appreciated. Take care and stop back every now and again.

Thanks for everything Daniel! A sad day indeeed for HiRes - but a BIG one for you, as this means you finally leave everything behind to go on forth down the Graphic Designer's path. Good for you! Congratz - and come back now and again if just to say hello.

Sorry to hear that you're leaving, ubl... but I totally understand your decision to leave. This hobby certainly has a tendency to distract from other priorities, and you need to focus on what is best for you in the long term.

I wish you all the best in your future pursuits and a very sincere thank you for all that you have done to improve this community during your time here. You will be missed.
