Ok, first things first:

Still absorbed in this movie in my head, so I need to get it out of my system.

Didn't plan to start this early, as I have yet to learn about release dates/ distribution company in the US - so template may change. I've gone with a Universal template, as I figured they would distribute the BDs in the States.

Been forever since I've used official poster keyart, but since I don't have a similar picture of Oldman in high enough resolution, I went and cut out Oldman from the poster. Also I really like this image, so... ;)

Having been influenced by Chuck's splendid front layout for Capote - I've worked along those lines, but I hope that I managed to give this a little bit of myself also. The typography is all me at least. ;) Hope it is ok buddy?

And with the spine. Does anyone know if Universal sport their logos on Focus Features titles on the spine??? Also is it too much with the Working Title logo on the spine as well? Cat. number will be added when I have the official US specs. For now it's just a placeholder.

What if you added a little life around the border, just some sort of texturing maybe?

Otherwise a great start so far JR! Haven't seen the movie yet (although will be!) so I can't help with theme ideas

This movie's a favorite of mine!

Nice start. Chucks Capote is beautiful so I see no harm in being influenced by that. The choice of font works well... I was thinking how it would look without the big logo behind Oldman?

Why don't you make a UK cover first and then adjust it to the US template later, cause it's already released in UK right?

Ok, trying this thing out with an etched dark grey background.

Also made his tie red to work better with the rest of the front :)

@ David - yes, it's already out on BD in the UK. Don't have that template tho... Perhaps someone can help me out with that?

I will post a version without said logo, then you can see...

Love the texture addition!

Hey, would the red stripe look good as sewn thread since the texture kind of looks like leather/fabric (or may be wrong)

Either way, really like this!

Here it is without the MI6 logo. A little too plain I think?
