I don't know anything about scans.
Only if you see the scan upclose you see a lot of pixels.
seeing you guys and girls reactions, i think it's good enough and that's why i voted yes
Based on your close-up I'd rejected that cover.A designer knows he has achieved perfection - not when there's nothing left to add - but when there's nothing left to take away

Personally I wouldn't have accepted most of those scans, but if someone is just uploading scans on a regular basis, and they meet the criteria then you can't vote no
I am a little more experienced than Lynne, but to give you some comparison this is what a cartoon cover scan should look like
http://www.hirescovers.net/gallery/display...e.php?pid=69537
and this is a scanned film cover
http://www.hirescovers.net/gallery/display...e.php?pid=61844
I wouldn't expect them to be this good, but then I wouldn't want to download and print any of her scans

I agree with MrHenryDog... I think the scans are good enough to approve contributor status, but I would hope that perhaps some experienced scanners would then help lynne out with some tips and pointers on how to improve his/her(?) scans. I'd rather not see our gallery become cluttered with $hitty scans that you might find on some of those cheap, crappy cover sites.
Voted yes with the hope that scanning quality improves with upgraded status.
