Representing HiResCovers, your Cover Site Battle Royal I Champion was Kernie82 with a cover for Three Kings that checkmated the competition. Click here to download Kernie82’s winning cover at HiRes.
Cover Site Battle Royal I participants had the option of choosing from two titles: The Social Network (2010) or Three Kings (1999).
In this first year of the Cover Site Battle Royal, the custom cover community’s strongest sites gathered volunteers to go up against an unknown challenge. The event began across several early iterations of the MR COVERS blog, completing in a short-lived MR COVERS forum. In between, we witnessed one of the hobby’s wildest battles, filled with controversy and gamesmanship, where final placements were decided by mere tenths of a point. The result: an intense, exciting challenge and twenty fantastic covers.

Representing EuphoricFX, your Cover Site Battle Royal III Champion was Kylumi with a cover for Argo that fulfilled its mission to smuggle the highest praise from the judges! Click here to download Kylumi’s winning cover at EFX.
Cover Site Battle Royal III participants had the option of choosing from two films: Titanic (1997) or Argo (2012).
Three years in, the Battle Royal found its home on a single, dedicated site where participants and spectators alike could keep up to date with the latest on the event. This proved the most interactive Cover Site Battle Royal yet, in which everyone had a chance to voice their opinion on the second title, the preferred preview format, and, of course, the champion.
Past Champions Kernie82 and BPMFord headlined an all-star panel of judges faced with the impossible task of sifting through artwork from twenty-one highly-gifted designers and choosing only one for the ultimate title.
In the end, everything came down to a single point.

Representing hirescovers.net and okladko-maniacy.pl respectively, your Cover Site Battle Royal IV Co-Champions were Zungam (left) and GAROT (right) with covers for Master and Commander which triumphantly stood out among an unbelievable lineup of designers.
Cover Site Battle Royal IV participants had the option of choosing from two titles: 12 Years a Slave (2013) or Master and Commander (2003).
Scores and comments cannot begin to describe how incredibly enthusiastically the year’s judges enjoyed the designs.
With such high quality across the board and no spine or back designs to help them decide in a front cover-only challenge, most found the process joyously exhausting.
Proving this further, the Top 3 designs were separated by a single point, including a tie for 1st!
