Okay this is in really early stages, but I saw this film yesterday and was inspired to make a cover that looks like a newspaper.
I think I'm going to need a fair bit of help on this one, but this is what I have so far.
I recreated the "The Daily Sentinel" logo from pictures from the film.
If anyone has any hi res pictures of the newspaper that would be great.

dont have that paper - but I do have some paper textures that could be transformed into a news paper. But you can also just make a hires google picture search

Yeah was going to make it look more like a paper just wanted to see everyone's opinions on the idea.

I like the idea but instead of recreating the paper exactly I'd have the Green Hornet and Kato bursting through it.

Hmmm I may do 2 versions as I do want to recreate the paper, something different and suits the film well.
Does this look okay?

Make all the black text just a tad grey to simulate wear and weather.

Very nice start Sauron, your fold on the spine looks really good, like the paper has thickness (many pages) but the one on the front looks like only one sheet was folded and i think you should extend the fold all the way to the back, and depending on how the paper was folded the fold on the front should be reversed to the back (one fold sticking up the other going down, or like in to the paper) and like JR says make the print look older, i think you will have a great cover!
