Hello Guys.

Who wants to win a DVD/Blu-Ray of their choice? Well, here's your chance!

You may think this months competition is a little too twee but, hey it's December next month and the start of the holiday season. So, what better way to kick off the celebrations than with a “Seasonally Inspired Cover Design”.
Now, you can be forgiven for thinking that a seasonal cover must have Santa or some Dickensian theme as its main attribute..........not on your Nelly! For example you may choose anything from Die Hard [1988] to Gremlins [1984]..........believe me they are seasonal!
The sky is the limit here my friends with no end to the creativity that you can achieve with this theme.
The gauntlet is down, who will be brave enough to pick it up?

Ah! just one snag.....you must use the Hi-Rez ABR [brush] file that is available to you for download.
I am not telling you what it is....!
But, you will know what to do with it when you try it out.... ;)

We are asking you to design a wholly original DVD/Blu-Ray……YOUR MISSION IF YOU DECIDE TO ACCEPT IT IS TO PRODUCE A COVER USING THE ABR PROVIDED BELOW WHICH MUST BE USED ON YOUR FRONT COVER. Have you got what it takes?. Yes, of course you have, so come and join us in this Unique Cover Design Competition which is open to ALL-COMERS!

Please, download RAR file containing the ABR FILE.

The Rules are simple too……

1. The front of your cover must be produced using the ABR FILE AT ANY COVERAGE LEVEL, PLUS YOU MAY USE ANY MOVIE RELATED IMAGES INCLUDING POSTER ART.
2. You may use "still" images for the back part of your cover design.
3. You may use unrelated photographic imagery.
4. You may use original Titles/Title Treatments/Fonts etc.
5. You may use any tool, plug-in or method provided within your software.
6. You may use multiple-software.
7. You may use Vector Designs.
8. The title of your cover must be locatable at IMDB.
9. You may submit as many cover designs as you like.
10. There will be only one winner [decided by a members poll].

You may not:

11. You may not use another artists work and/or artistic work which is searchable through the Internet. e.g. Deviant Art. etc.

Start Date: Monday, Noon GMT: November 16th 2009

Completion time: Sunday, Noon GMT: December 6th 2009

Submissions: Please send your completed designs to; [email protected]

Voting: Conducted by members poll.

As always good luck to everyone and may the best cover win!!!

it seasonally inspired
but as long as you use the brush it can be anything - it doesn't have to be a christMAs themed cover. thats the way i read it
Sorry for my English, i'm from Leicester innit?

Seasonal..........refers to movies which have some kind of Christmas Theme.

For example: Die Hard starts with New York City Detective John McClane arriving in Los Angeles to spend Christmas with his wife.

Damn fine entries this month, great turnout. Good luck everyone

Really wanted to enter this comp again, but the flu struck me down this week, just after I found the right movie and resources, but better luck next time i guess.
