Hi Guys, some of you might remember me from a few years ago on other sites.
I signed up as a member here back in May 2007. I was "Contributor" then, but since have lost it because I really don't make to many cover any more. What I've recently started to do was make "sleeve covers"
I've been in contacts with the Admins and the suggested that I make a poll for the members here to see if this is something you would like to see hosted in the gallery for your use.
I little background on my "covers" you are about to see.
I use to make and print regular sized DVD covers. But I soon ran out of room on my shelves. I then switched everything over to thin-pack DVD covers. But soon again I ran out of room.
My new system is storing all the discs in large CD/DVD booklet/wallet. It takes up so much less space.
I put all the discs in the booklets, but looking for a specific disc was kind of a pain. Especially pertaining to double sides discs where the name of the movies was only on the inner strip tag of the disc. Or disc from Miramax that were painted silver on a reflective disc.
I decided to print covers to slip ontop of the discs making it easy to locate a movie while flipping through the book.
They are 4.5" tall x 4.75" wide. This alows .25" of the disc to be exposed at the top.
Allowing you to easily remove the disc from the slot. It also allows you to see if there is a disc in the slot.
When creating the covers, I usually to to use the original cover as source material.
I remove all studio logos, actor names, slogans, ect.
I try to make them look as clean as possible. Cover image and movie title only.
Thank You, and here you go...
Would you like to see my "sleeve covers" in the galley
