TS...The "DVD" release of the movie has to be Pre-2000. It's going by when the DVD was released, not the theatrical release. winking.gif
The key to faking out the parents is the clammy hands. It's a good non-specific symptom; I'm a big believer in it. A lot of people will tell you that a good phony fever is a dead lock, but, uh... you get a nervous mother, you could wind up in a doctor's office. That's worse than school. You fake a stomach cramp, and when you're bent over, moaning and wailing, you lick your palms. It's a little childish and stupid, but then, so is high school.

What? That's BS. Do you know how few movies was released on dvd before 2000? Dvds weren't really that big then cause the players were freaking expensive. I don't really see the point in this rule. I can understand if you want covers for movies that had there theatrical release before 2000 because you don't see that many of those. But I can make a cover for a movie from the 30's that no one else has made anything for, but still it doesn't comply with the rules cause the movie company only just released it this year.

if this is the rule, then I can't join in on the compitition.
My covers may only be viewed on well calibrated screens and printed on well calibrated printers.

pre-2000 DVD release date? I don't have a problem with that. Going to make things alot more challenging for sure.

Hi everybody. I still don't get about the 20% of the total cover size. If i wanna put the faces of the actors,
i have to put without a doubt a picture, unless i draw them (seems really hard). And if wanna put things, i don't know, like cars, planes, guns, etc, I can't put images of those things? If i use images i'm gonna be over than 20%.
I would really appreciate if you could clear it up to me. chin.gif

Greetings to all thumb.gif

Juanpi2382...in the "rules" for the competition it states...

4. Poster art may be used, for images, but each must be no more than 20% of the total cover size.

...so each individual image cannot be more than 20% of the total cover size. That's just so you can't take one big piece of poster art and use it for the whole cover. Hope this helps. 8834.gif

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong chin.gif

Thanks burnbabyburn. Now I get it and it's pretty reasonable.

About the pre-2000 DVD release, it's gonna be a real challenge. Bye 8834.gif

It's a challenge finding sources for pics, but I've been looking around a lot, and there are actually quite a few movies to choose from. chin.gif

I have to apologies for my previous post. Don't know why I got that angry.

Sorry

Still no fan of the rule, since old dvds suck 8834.gif (no extras or anything really) probably the reason why new version of the early releases are getting re-released.
My covers may only be viewed on well calibrated screens and printed on well calibrated printers.
