This is probably going to backfire on me, but if folks could be so kind as to point out ways in which this design is working and how it isn't, it might help guide me in a direction that is more personally satisfying... or it might drive me crazy. Let's see!![]()

You're welcome, but opening up to that many suggestions will back fire on youBut it may be troubling you as there are too many characters bunched together? I think one of the great things about xshoty's poster design, is the way he has included all the characters in such a way they are individual, yet all fit together. Does that make any sense? I don't even know if I understand myself

Other characters would be placed in front of Hulkbuster... Similar to Hulk... If I were to keep going, the Hulkbuster won't appear to take up as much space as he seems to at the moment.Bazzah wrote:QUOTE (Bazzah @ May 5 2015, 01:43 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>You're welcome, but opening up to that many suggestions will back fire on youBut it may be troubling you as there are too many characters bunched together? With 6-7 characters yet to be placed, they kind of have to be bunched together to all fit in. Xshoty did a montage format, which is far easier because it doesn't rely so heavily on full body images and proper scale of the characters.
The remaining characters would be: Widow, Hawkeye, Fury, Quicksilver, War Machine, and Falcon, so the bunching is a result of saving room for them.

You might have a little rust, but, more likely, it's just a big challenge trying to fit a dozen characters into a design prominently. Either way, your skills appear to be very much intact on display.
If you're looking for suggestions...
It looks like you could move everyone (and the rubble) down a bit to give you more air space and breathing room.
You could put Hulk where Vision is and have Vision in the air (smaller) to free up ground space.
Pending space issues, I would remove the Hulkbuster (a good disc label image, perhaps?) and add regular Iron Man there, maybe in a flying pose to give you more ground space.
With that, it looks like you would have space to fit at least 5 more character comfortably. Fury in particular would be a good guy to include via a back screenshot if you run out of room.

Thanks so much, Tim! Your advice and visual aide were exactly what I needed!
- Shrunk all the characters and rubble about 5%... which freed up a slight amount of space (I don't want the characters getting too small though)
- Shifted characters and rubble down
- Switched Hulk and Vision... smart suggestion, Bunny! This also puts Cap, Thor, Hulk, and Iron Man (the big four) in the center
- I want to keep Hulkbuster if possible, if only because I arbitrarily want him there. Plus, I like the symmetry of two big characters on either side of Cap (and alluding to the Hulk/Hulkbuster fight)
- Added Hawkeye and Fury to test placement (still needs to be recolored to match the scene)
- Added foreground "sparkage"
- Adjusted the overall saturation and contrast, which I think was a big help
I'm determined to get all of these characters in there (it's the Avengers after all... there should be a crapload of characters!), and after yesterday's little crisis of faith and self-doubt, I think I might be able to pull this off if the proper resources are available. Hopefully, once all characters are placed, I can add some special effects (Thor's lightning, lens flares, Scarlet Witch's hypno-mist, glares on Cap's shield, etc.) that help to give it the "wow" factor I'm craving.
Back on track... maybe?

Could you please elaborate on how the Hulkbuster is "off?" A few people have made similar comments but with little explanation of what it means, and unfortunately I'm not seeing what's wrong with it.
Keep in mind the scale of Hulkbuster in relation to the other characters. He should be HUGE, and probably even bigger than I portray him.
Thanks!![]()
