Originally, the way you phrased it, it sounded like each individual participant had to pay a fee for entering.

Finally, some controversy!

Each site wanted to pay a little toward a trophy for the winner. That number ended up being $35 per site. As far as I know, this has nothing to do with whether any site is participating.

I'm in the middle of some conversations right now to figure out what's up. Participants aren't being announced on Monday. Until then, consider Nike's post a psych-out: don't let your guard down, he's going to be designing a great cover.
