Great additions!! And great work on the Gen X cover, you made it look like it's actually a great movie :lol2:
Funny story, when I was a kid I was visiting New York and I stopped to look a comic book stand on the street a few minutes, then I walked away and almost half a block away, the owner ran up to me just to give me a free copy of Gen X #1, just "for being a comic enthusiast" :D

Love 'em all! The Rocketeer art works particularly well in your template.

Give the Spirit a try. I think Frank Miller did a great job on it and felt it played very mich like one of Eisner's stips.

Unfortunately, there were next-to-no resources available for this film... I actually scanned the cover image from an ad in an old X-Men comic and jazzed it up as best I could. So I apologize for some low quality imagery, but there was practically nothing available.

I actually quite enjoy this movie. It's got a fun 1930's period vibe and the perpetually ageless and sexy Jennifer Connelly. Here's hoping director Joe Johnston can replicate the all-American 1930's tone again with his upcoming "Captain America" film.

I still haven't seen this one, and from the reviews I've seen, I probably shouldn't bother... :(

I haven't seen this one either, but from the reviews, I probably should... :D

That should get Punisherchad pretty close to having a complete collection, only Spawn and Wanted left to go, right? Unless you bought anything new, you filthy bugger... :D

And here's a look at the entire Comic Book Collection so far... 210 DVD's, 73 Blu-rays!

See A History of Violence, DO NOT see The Spirit if you want to maintain any kind of respect for Frank Miller. I just watched the Rocketeer and I am looking forward to Captain America even more now. Great movie, COVER OF THE YEAR! The Rocketeer cover is MAGNIFICENT! I only have Spawn, Wanted, and...just kidding, just Spawn and Wanted. Until you make another awesome cover that makes me go buy a movie! Thanks again, seriously how do I nominate the Rocketeer for best cover ever?

Quick note on the GenX cover, it looks as good as marketing materials I remember seeing, I can't even believe you found ANY resources for it.

And finally, here's "A History of Violence" in Blu-ray and DVD. I haven't seen this one either, but from the reviews, I probably should... :D
I thought impossible to create a great cover for the film using that poster. You've successfully proven me wrong. :) It's well done, both that and the following Cronenberg/Mortensen film Eastern Promises are pretty excellent, if a bit 'gritty.'

And The Spirit is one of the worst films I've ever seen, particularly given how many of the cast members I really, really like. It has a couple of cool visual moments, if you have it on in the background while doing something else and just look up at the screen every few minutes, I suppose. :D Otherwise, beware! :)

This thread has well over 18,000 views? :eek5: Eighteen thousand! (And worth every one of them!)

Hahaha, that thread I started about my attempts at t-shirt design is at least 90% my own views and about 50% my own posts. :D :D Nothing like spending as much time obsessively looking for comments as you do on the designs themselves. :D

Thanks for the Rocketeer and for The Spirit. I just wished when Disney had released the Rocketeer on DVD that they would have done it in 16X9 or even in "enhanced TV" modes. I always look forward to this thread and what you come up with, because, you never cease to amaze me. I await with worm in mouth (baited breath) for the next update. :D

Ok I nearly missed out, Wow the Rocketeer Cover looks great love the helmet on the back, where do you find these things :)

Funny you did Superboy, I was going to ask if you where going to bother with it considering only 1 season out of 4 have been released

Never seen Generation X, but the cover looks great, I'll have to do a bit of searching around for that one

The Spirit, glad I got that from the bargin bin, bad film, but great cover, love the octopus logo

Have yet to see A History of Violence, great looking cover though.

Thanks for the new covers and labels :)

Now got a bit of a complaint, well not really a complaint, more of a continuity error,

I was looking at the Road to Perdition cover the other day, and noticed the ash try with filter tip cigarettes in it, since the film was set during in the great depression 1930's. There was no such thing as filter tips before the 1950's, everyone smoked unfiltered cigarettes, Sorry Kernie :) , It doesn't really matter just thought I would point it out :) great looking cover though and a great film.

Since you mentioned Captain America, and since you have already made a Captain America (1990's) cover with your old set, could I ask if you add it to your list please, along with a couple of other suggestions :) since they fall under the comic book genre and you seem to be doing the more obscure films firstly Bulletproof Monk, NOT the greatest of films (best described as trash entertainment) but I ashamedly admit I own a copy them Tank Girl, Barbwire, and Ghost World.
Also since you did the Superman from the 50's have you any intention on doing covers for Batman 1943 serial, Batman and Robin 1949 serial, or the classic Batman film from 1966 I won't ask for the entire series as it has never been released (officially), which is a pity :( . I thought of another one but it's gone now. I know all of these suggestions :) are all dependent on finding the artwork and the artwork for most of these, I would have thought was pretty rare, just thought I would mention them for your consideration :)

Anyhow enough of the ranting, really nice update and again well done, can't give you enough praise :) now off to download the new lot

I'd be happy to replace the ash tray on the Road to Perdition cover with something else, if you can think of something that would work better (except some sort of gun imagery, which I used for History of Violence and I'm using a bullet primer for my upcoming Wanted cover). Do you know how hard it was to find an image of an ashtray at the angle I wanted? I wasn't even thinking about visual anachronisms...

As for your (many, many...) suggestions. SSHHH!!! You'll spoil all the surprises!!! :nunu: :nunu: Don't you know by now that I'm WELL AWARE of what's out there and what I need to add yet? Jeez, DS... you have no faith in me... :( :( :D :D
