Battle LA (Theater): 8/10

Was pretty good. Touched on the same themes as Independence Day, but was done in a more of a military theme, and it worked for me. Quite engaging and a good story!

Rango (Theater): 8/10

Was really hyped by my mother, but I wasn't really interested... I liked it, but the laughs weren't all that great... would have gotten a 7, but got an extra point for how frekin real it looked!!! will be an awesome Blu-ray release!

The Walking Dead Season 1 (Blu-ray): 9/10

Bought this show on Blu having never seen it... love it so far, it is as well done effects wise as any large budget movie!

And it was done by Frank Darabont... who must have loved his cast from The Mist, cuz there are like 3 of them in it!

Awesome Show... can't wait for season 2

The Way of the Gun (2000) 7/10
I don't know how I missed this one before now, when I saw it I was intrigued by the cast: Benicio Del Toro & Ryan Phillippe in particular. Great action film, just the right amount of blood :D

The Brothers Bloom (2008) 8/10
There were a LOT of gags happening in the background on this film...I laughed a LOT. If I'd have known it was this good it would not have sat unwatched for so long.

Watched R.E.D. last night, and laughed my way thru it! It's hilarious! I'll give it 8/10, as it's not an instant classic ;)

Went and watched The Adjustment Bureau at the cinema a few days ago, and well.. It wasn't what I expected - not as emphasis on the action as the trailer suggested but overall a good movie if you're in for some drama. :) 7.8/10

Well got round to watching a few films last night on blu ray...

Man On Fire 9/10 Transfer was abit grainy but think the movie is designed this way for a reason anyways, as i remember the dvd transfer suffering grain also. Nice Bluray though and great film.

Heat 9/10 Brilliant film and looked like a pretty good transfer on the quality, Surround sound on this movie is fecking awesome aswell!!!!!!!!!!

While everyone pumps out their TV choices here what i watch or liked watching:

Currently Watching

Supernatural 9/10 (this show just rulessssssssss)

Sons Of Anarchy 9/10 ( very well done, was nice to see the irish side of the Sons in the latest season)

The Event 8/10 (watched the first part of season 1 on channel 4 HD in UK and the second part starts tomorrow night at 10 with a double episode...
This show has really grown on me, the freaky kids remind me of an old apextwin video though)

Spartacus: Gods of the Arena 9/10 (naked bits, blood, guts and planety of flying body parts what more do we need :P .......love this and was a great stop gap.

Spartacus: Blood and Sand Season 1 9/10 ( Started abit slow but when it got going at a very fast pace and kept going... loved it. Shame Whitfield being replaced for season 2 though :( )

NCIS Los Angeles : 8/10 ( pretty good but Hetty the munchkin makes this show :P )

Dexter 9/10 (well written, well acted, sheer awesomeness.. John Lithgow season 4 amazingggggggggg)

Blue Bloods 9/10 ( currently watching on Sky Atlantic HD every tuesday and got to be honest it's certainly kept my attention and turning out to be really good)

BoardWalk Empire 9/10 ( anything with Steve Buscemi is gonna be good and this is pretty darn good)

Also watching Starz new show Camelot based on King Arthur first episode has been very promising and a strong contender to out do Game Of Thrones by NBC which won't be hard
as NBC don't have a very good rep for shows lasting past 2 seasons recently..

Other shows i liked before they got the boot...

Jericho

Dollhouse

Tru Calling ( Eliza Dusku don't seem to have much luck with TV shows since the Buffy days)

Journey Man

Sarah Connor Chronicles (show ended far to soon was gutted they cancelled it)

Las Vegas ( great show and just rewatched the 5 seasons, just wish they'd make a 2 hour special just to finish it off from that awesome season 5 cliffhanger)

True... just wish when a show gets approved for a regular run... that a minimum three seasons are contracted!

Just watched Hannah Montanna the Movie 4/10 ( my daughter loves it and would probably give it a 10/10 .... i'd be more happy if it was never made lol)

As regards to a 3 season contract i agree, but these days i do try to avoid anything NBC push out, even though The Event is done by NBC!!! But even then i got a feeling this show won't return for a second season.
NBC need to take a good hard look at themselves because there network intials is quickly becoming the name No Body Cares.........

S.W.A.T. Firefight 8/10 fantastic movie action movie. especially for a direct to DVD.

Hereafter 2/10 the most excitement the movie had was the tsunami wave a the begging of the movie.

The Fighter 9/10 Amazing movie I can't understand why it didn't win best pic but still fantastic.

The Big Hit 6/10 not one of Mark Wahlberg's best movies.
