I've been laying low for a few days, cookin' up nine new covers to add to my Comic Book Collection, to bring my total amount of DVD covers to an even 200!!

I can't believe I've already hit 200 DVD covers! Thanks so much to the regulars on this thread (you know who you are ;) ) who continue to show their support by rating and commenting in the gallery, as well as posting their thoughts here in the forum! I've said it before: the collection would have died a long time ago had it not been for a few key members who have consistently expressed interest and enthusiasm for these covers!

And I can't forget to mention the fine folks at MovieGrafix for always being able to dig up some great keyart, title treatments, and stills that I have used in these covers. They really are the unsung heroes of this whole operation. Thanks so much!!

Now on with the updates...

First up is "The Shadow!" I hinted at it earlier and here it is. I lumped it into the DC Collection, although (like The Phantom), The Shadow has had a varied publication history and it's hard to tell where to place it. I think it spent some time at DC around the time of the film's release, so I put it there.

Next is Judge Dredd. Okay... so I may have lied a few posts back when I said I didn't expect to add this Stallone stinker any time soon. I honestly didn't expect to do it, but something in me decided to take a crack at it. So here you go...

Judge Dredd:

Now we have a few Marvel titles... for starters: "Man-Thing!" Yes... Man-Thing. Like Howard the Duck before him, I have no idea why Marvel felt Man-Thing deserved film treatment before Iron Man, Thor, or even the Fantastic Four. But they made a movie about him, so I added it to my collection. :(

Man-Thing:

Don't like The Ultimates-style Sam Jackson Nick Fury in Iron Man 2? How about David Hasselhoff in this made-for-TV movie from 1998, "Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.?" It's mostly crap, but it did get a Best Buy exclusive DVD release back when the original Iron Man came to DVD.

To finish off the Marvel titles, here is the latest animated series (er... motion comic) that was supposed to air on BET, but instead saw a digital iTunes/X-Box Live/Playstation Network release this past week: Black Panther!

Black Panther: The Animated Series:

Finally, here are all four movies in The Crow series! I can't say I have much of a personal interest in these films, so these were quite tough to make given my lack of knowledge on the character as well as my tepid ambition, but I think they came out alright. I hope Crow fans deem them worthy. :D :D :D

I'll try to add the television series, "The Crow: Stairway to Heaven" eventually, but for now, to quote Wayne Campbell in Wayne's World: "No stairway! Denied!" Although I'm fairly certain he was referring to some other "Stairway to Heaven..." :chin:

The Crow:

The Crow: City of Angels:

The Crow: Salvation:

The Crow: Wicked Prayer:

And, last but not least: a look at the entire Comic Book Collection, consisting of 200 DVD's and 68 Blu-rays (so far).

Thanks again to everyone who continues to support these covers! Let's see if I can hit 300!! :D :D :D

Enjoy!

Wow, that's simply amazing! 200 covers! Probably more than anyone's uploaded to this site so far :lol2:
Congrats on the milestone and the new additions, they look great!

PS: Black Panther? Are you gonna get into motion comics as well?

No, but since Black Panther was supposed to actually air on television and it was originally promoted as an animated series, I included it. Maybe the Watchmen motion comic will make its way in at some point, but I have zero plans to start covering motion comics, in general.

Thanks again for the kind words!! :D :D

The Shadow? So terrible! :D This series? So fantastic! :)

Funny you should put that caveat before The Crow -- I'd say it's actually one of the coolest-looking additions to the set so far!

Thank goodness movie studios are going to be flooding theaters with super hero films in the next couple of years, they must have heard that you're starting to run low on titles for this set. ;)

Wow what can I say, well done Kernie, you've been a busy lad again :)

Love each new cover in there own way

The Shadow, excellent piece of artwork for the front you have used there, the usual artwork you have used on the symbol on the rear, like the cape effect around the description

Judge Dredd, I actually don't mind the film :) the Shield and chains look great mate, still wonder where you find all the resources for these covers

Man - Thing, The TT looks great nice addition with the sheriff badge and slim/vine

Nick Fury, one film I have still yet to watch, the shield badge looks great, strange how he have evolved in the marvel universe from a white guy to coloured

Black Panther, another strange decision for Marvel, the first 6 episodes where shown on Bet as you mentioned, strange how they aren't going to air the other episodes, but instead the iTunes/blah blah root, the cover looks great though, the cut out Panther looks great though, nice cover :)

The Crow, wow what some great looking covers, the different Crow symbol on the back, seen these before but they are a nice touch, also like the rain effect on the front of each, and the consistency of the TT's really nice collection :)

Well done with all the new covers, Kernie, your a remarkable fellow and hitting the 200 mark, doesn't seem that long ago since we congratulated you on hitting 100, looking forward to the next 100 if there are that many more to do?

Congratulations again, Hip Hip Hooray :)

P.S. before I got to download the new covers they had a number of hits already, but on some no one seemed to comment or thank Kernie, it isn't that hard to leave a comment or just click on a smiley face, please in future thank this guy for the hard work he has put in to them, it isn't that hard to click on a couple of icons or buttons :)

Thanks everyone for the great comments! I really do appreciate it. :D

I put a lot of time and effort into these, and it's nice to see some kind folks take a few minutes to share their thoughts and opinions. It really does keep me motivated to keep adding more titles to the collection. And there are plenty more to go...

I guess this is a healthier addiction than most... but no need to check every day. I don't work that fast! :D

As for the Crow Blu-ray... I'll try to add it soon.

Living in the States, I have a pretty good idea of what's come to Blu-ray over here, but I often lose track of what's been released in foreign markets, so if there's something that I have only made a DVD cover for, please let me know and I'll try to convert it soon. Truth be told, though... the blu-ray conversion is my least favorite part of the process. :( :( But I'll do it anyway! :D :D

Thanks again for the support!! :D
