i love the "seems to pop-out of the front" style.
As usual, this is magic.

Do you use a graphic tablet or do you create everything with the mouse?

Thanks so much for sharing that behind-the-scenes look at the Loki cover! I appreciate this amazing work even more!

Everything with the mouse! I've been tempted to switch to a graphic tablet, but there's just never been a good time to tackle the learning curve and I'm honestly not sure how much I'd like it. Plus, good tablets are quite expensive and I'm just not sure I'd use it enough to justify the cost.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you want to look at it), I've reached the end of my stockpile of covers for now. There won't be a new addition to the Comic Book Collection for quite some time. I've had the good fortune of getting more and more paying design work as a result of my recent horror posters, and it's been taking up a lot of my time.

I don't intend for this to be the end of the Collection. I always like to return to it when my schedule clears up. At the moment, I'm booked with jobs into October.

I may also have to start narrowing the criteria for what I add to the Comic Collection. There's a lot of "comic-based" content being created these days, and I honestly only have an interest in a small portion of it. For years, I've been making covers for things I've never even watched or liked, simply so that I could be as "complete" as possible with my cover set. I'm kind of burnt out on doing that. There's a very large part of me that wants to try some new things, or at least not be so slavish to this particular template and style.

We'll see where things go. I'm sure I'll add more covers to this collection again, but for now, thank you to all who have enjoyed the covers that were shared this past summer! :D :D :D

P.S. I do have one more (non-Comic Collection) cover sitting on a back burner that I will be uploading in a few days!

Thanks for the update Kernie, and for the latest extravaganza! It has been fun :D I can understand you concentrating more on your paid work at the moment. And I can understand you narrowing the collection down to your own personal preference of titles. I also like the idea of you venturing out of the template more too! Some of my favourite covers of yours are outside of this collection. It would be great to see more! :D

I agree with Baz, the comic book collection is amazing but my favourite covers of yours are not in this collection.

Look forward to seeing what you do in the future :)

Completely agreed.
This is a great news. Not so astonishing than that. You're so talented, like most of our artists here.
It is a goal for us, most of us, i believe. It's mine too, to change life.
Change official work...
Xshoty, Tim, now you.... Wow, i'll keep dreaming now...
Thanx for the update and your answer.
Highly appreciated :p

You're more than welcome to take as long a break as you need buddy. The most important thing is that you do what you want/makes you happy. I would be very interested in seeing your posters tho and I believe I speak for all of us when I say it would be awesome if you made a thread where you showed us the terrific work you do with them, maybe a bit of the process as well as the final results. It's always mind blowing seeing how much work you actually do on every cover/poster.
