Small update.
What characters should I had near Dumbledore? Hagrid and Macgonagall? Snape and Quirrell? Hagrid and Snape? Not sure yet...

Is there a reason why the owls wings seem to fade at the edge?
I can't really comment on who to add to the back as didn't like the first of these films so don't know any of the other characters.

While I'm still testing what to do with the back, I've started Chamber of Secrets. Please ignore the colors, blending, rim light and so on, this is just the first attempt to the second movie.

Your 2nd front is looking good so far, I think you can go on with this composion. My only suggestion at this time would be that I'd morror Harry to have him on the front looking to the same direction as on the first - and hopefully you can continue this for the next covers.
As for the characters on the back I don't think there's a perfect solution. Many characters are important in more than one movie, some are only in one. So maybe you can add Quirrel to the back and for the 2nd and 3rd character you choose whoever you prefer? You can do it this way for the following covers as well.
