Here's an update. I've brightened the texture a little and started on the spine and back. Will probably have to reduce the size of the back characters some to have room for all the text. And nevermind the legals, they're not sorted yet.

Started coloring the back characters to see how it would look. Worth trying on the front as well? Will keep the colors subtle though.
Edit: Just noticed that I forgot to remove the NY skyline on the front. Tried a background (Corleone mansion, Sicily, NY/Queens etc.) but it looked odd. Will remove it on the next update

Me too but colour does look good as well.
