Just noticed that R1DB credited my Batman & Robin cover (seriously, all this fuss over that $hitty movie?) as RRJR suggested, but did not delete the cover like I requested. Looks like they'd rather build up their gallery than respect designers' wishes like we do here... :( :(

Sometimes it's not about the credit, it's about the principle...

Just saw this.. Read through it all..

I fully agree.. It sucks and upsets me to find my covers else where.. If they put my name on it.. I dont care as much..

I went ahead and went to that site and found a ton of my covers there.. My name isnt on any of them :( LAME..

about a month ago, I came across a Korean bootleg site, and they were using my Bourne Cover as there bootleg cover.. I was like.. Sweet, but Son of a B at the same time.....

I am only a member here and Fuzion... I feel the more sites you join, the more your covers will go bye bye.. (But also, the more site you join, the more you can also keep an eye on your stolen covers)

Bad times us cover designers live in.. :)

I've seen kernie's Kick-as$ cover on a bootleg site too :S

Not that I would know anything about bootleg sites

Not sure if this is the place to post this, but I want this available for all to see. I've been noticing my work popping up on R1DB.com by an unknown person who fails to credit the designer. I try not to worry about this, since it's the internet, and I know that dishonesty and theft are difficult to completely monitor. I also tell myself not to get upset, because it just means that more people can see my designs.

However, I made a decision a long time ago to stay exclusive to hirescovers.net, so if you see my stuff elsewhere, I didn't put it there and it is stolen from here. I've tried to place notes in the descriptions for my designs about not uploading my stuff to other sites, but I guess some people could care less about what I want. If you are going to steal my stuff (which I'd rather you don't), could at least give me the credit? I still don't approve, but at least you're giving me some shred of respect.

I know it's hard to sniff out the culprit, but if this trend continues, I'll delete my entire gallery here. I've had very little time for this hobby lately and to be honest, wiping the slate clean and throwing in the towel would leave me with a lot more free time to spend on other things in my life. I'd rather not do this, but if it comes down to it, it's what I'll have to do.

Thanks for understanding and I apologize to the thousands of people that this does not pertain to.

I've caught a lot of stuff on R1DB that's ripped from this site, namely you and RookerProductions but there are more for sure, contact Jayhawk at R1DB and he'll set it straight.

You can add one of mine (Winter's Bone cover and label) which hawki20 over at fuzion found and let me know. I did notify them (I am a member although I don't post there much) and got my name put on it but credits apparently only forward not any that this guy had already earned.

Oops. I see someone here also found it.

Again and again I am touched by this topic and how it effects our contributors, our designers. It effects me to.

Every few months, this topic comes to mind, and I try to find a way to protect our designers. Each time that I think I have a new methodology of handling this situation, I run up against some roadblock that makes it impossible to continue. About three weeks ago, I again thought of a new way to handle it. I spent some time this evening (setting aside the other work I had planned) to work through some prototypes, and so far, it has held up. So far, no roadblocks have appeared. I am starting to gain some confidence that I may have stumbled across a methodology that may actually work!

Now, to you thieves out there: don't expect some grand announcement when I put this into place. I am serving you notice right here and now: If you share something you've downloaded from our site with ANYONE ELSE, you WILL BE BANNED! Any announcement I make will only be visible to our designers...you will have no idea it was implemented.

Stop posting our content on other sites. Stop sharing it in the newsgroups. Stop sending it to your friends via email. Or even thumb drive. If you download something from this web site, and that copy is the version that gets propagated to other sites, your account WILL BE TERMINATED!!

GOT IT?! GOOD!
