Got this one in the other day.
Six Feet Under: The Complete Collection R1
[attachment=7041:six_feet_under.jpg]
The price had gone down from about 200$ to 120$, plus I got 20$ off because of the shipping issues last time with the Jack Skellington bust.
So a total of 100$ plus 6$ shipping wasn't something I could resist.
But then...
The dirty, filthy customs had to defile the package. It's not the 25% VAT that bothers me, it's that in my country there's a standard 155 kr (20.80€) handling charge. The worst part is that the lower value limit for when a package has to be handle by the customs is only 80 kr (10.75€).
Scenario: I buy a package from outside the EU for 81kr.
The customs add the 25% VAT (20.25kr)
which brings it to 101.25 kr
Add the 155kr handling charge
Which brings the total to 256.25 kr
That would mean a 316% increase.
You'd have to wonder why they even bother, cause the recipient can always refuse to receive the package and thus refuse the charges. Bad business with no winners.
Luckily a clerical error had happened and the posted value of the package had been substantively lowered.
(Shoutout to my Swedish friends)
