for it as long as I get credit, I won't loose but for the other like Kernie His covers should just be left here.

If People want it that bad they can buy a membership and then have unlimited downloads instead a purchasing credits and once they run out spend more money it only makes sense.

Most people upload with out any names attached, the ones with names can be better tracked.

Damodar Shenoy is a fake upload name there's nothing for him online when I search.

I will try to keep an eye out too, it does happen from time to time and for some reason over at R1DB here and there, i also have contact with admin and will try to make sure the message gets through, i do know from previous communications that they of course feel the same as we do and will rectify things straight away with zero tolerance.

If they feel the same way we do, then they will remove covers at the request of the original artist (instead of just "crediting" them), and they will share with us (the admins here) the IP addresses that were used when the covers were uploaded. With that information, we CAN identify (about 99% of the time) the specific user account on our site that the thief is using, and then ban them.

Yeah, we're all aware of coversq.com...

Apparently, they ban people for speaking up about stolen covers, which is why they probably don't have contact info available. They don't care.

I've seen a$$hole Striker on other cover sites a few years back. He even claimed to be the artist/creator of every scan he uploaded

His profile I just found on that ugly a$$ website coversq, where he uploaded a lot of my stuff amongst that of other people:

coversq is run by cover thieves

Striker has been stealing covers since Fred Flintstone chiseled out his first cover.

HiRes, CM, and Fuzion have worked hard to try to keep the work safe, and working together we were able to root out quite a few thieves (including the ones I just mentioned). The major problem is that we need the IP address to track them down. So without the uploader's IPs from R1 or coversq, it is a guessing game at best. Sometimes we get lucky and we have enough evidence for a spot-on educated guess, and sometimes we don't.

There are other ways to root them out, but it is long and tedious process that more times than not leads to a dead end. Plus, where did the cover come from. A thief steals it from one of us and posts it to site A. Another thief takes it from site A and posts it to site B.

We do the best we can and it helps to have members who keep an eye for each others' work.

So as always, I offer my help to baz in rooting out yet another dirtbag thief. Just let me know what I can do.
