Terrible news....i to new someone who past of cancer sadly at the age of 15 so can understand what his family and friends are going through......my DEEPEST condolences to them but i am certain he is in a much better place now!

Wow, I had no idea he was in his 70s. Boneapart was one of the most dynamic, vibrant personalities on here.
I did not have the honor of knowing him well, but my thoughts go out to his family on this terrible loss.

I too was saddened to hear the news of Danny's passing. I was aware of the cancer and knew he had a short time left, but that does not make up for the shock I felt when I heard the news. He will be remembered as a close friend, although we never met. Boneapart was a key reason, as well as inspiration to finding the cover scene in the first place. I will always remember how friendly and helpful he was and will miss him.

Danny's son, Dale, sent me an email which was a comfort to me. I know Dale would not mind, so I would like to share it with you.


Hi Scott, sadly my Dad passed away last night at 21:50. He was holding my hand and I was whispering in his ear,

then in one deep breath he was gone. Very beautiful… I’ve lost my best friend but I know that he’s now at peace.

I am grateful for the knowledge I have in the eternal nature of families and friendships. I look forward to the time we will be united again on the other side of the Veil, for the end of this life is just the beginning of our eternal existence with the Father. As Jesus Christ said, ""In my Fathers House are many Mansions, I go to prepare a place for you." I know where to find you Danny. Until we meet again old friend.

I had the privilege to speak to Danny on the day he passed away. Even though he could hardly speak, I felt like I knew what he was saying. We always referred to each other as brothers, so I simply said, "I love you brother and we will see each other again. He was my best friend and I will miss him deeply..

Just read this and I'm totally shocked. Boney was one of my first inspirations (with krafty, Bazzah and Irrob) for custom covers... and we've been friends for a long time.

My sincere condolences for Danny's family and may he rest in peace. We will always miss you my friend.
