Kernie's Weekly Cover Update #12: Once Upon A Deadpool!

Apparently, this re-edit of Deadpool 2 arrived on Blu-ray this past week. I'm not exactly sure what is the point of this version, other than donating a portion of the proceeds to cancer charities (which is a very admirable cause).
For myself and many others, the majority of the appeal of the first Deadpool movie was its hard-R rating. I felt the regular Deadpool 2 was not as strong as the first. So now, Fox has neutered the film down to a PG-13 with some supposedly humorous interstitials featuring Fred Savage from The Princess Bride.
And the point of this exercise is to...? Make it family-friendly (not sure how because the overall tone of the film is still dark and irreverant)? Remove the violence and profanity (the reason everyone liked the movie in the first place)? Make more money (why would people pay to see a watered-down version in theaters when they can watch the original at home)? Inflate the box office gross just enough to hit the $1 billion mark (probably)? Test the waters for a PG-13 Deadpool movie (due to the Disney/Fox merger)? One last strike while the (cooling) Deadpool iron is still hot (probably)?
Regardless of the reason for this version's existence, I don't think anyone can argue that it's entirely necessary (except for the charity part). But anyway, my rant is over, here is Once Upon A Deadpool... for some reason.

I adore your cover. Personally, I really like that Deadpool is now available as PG13. I know my opinion is a rare one, but I think the amazing thing about comics is that they are accessible to all ages. They give kids role models. To then make those inaccessible for anyone younger than 18 has always made me sad. Personally, I tried watching the first Deadpool, but couldn't last more than twenty minutes. It was way too gratuitous for me. I did really enjoy Logan, but that didn't seem nearly as bad.
Anyway, thank you so much for making a cover even for a movie you don't appreciate yourself. And thank you especially for delivering a cover of such high quality regardless!
