What a blast it has been, Andrew! 35 (!) covers in a row. Extraordinary!

A designer knows he has achieved perfection - not when there's nothing left to add - but when there's nothing left to take away

Thank you to everyone who enjoyed the Cover-A-Day Extravaganza! It was a pleasure to see that interest for these covers are alive and well! I especially appreciated reading all of the comments in this thread and in the gallery. Your support and enthusiasm is truly what motivates me to keep going. You have no idea how far the smallest "thank you" or comment goes... I read them all and I value everyone who likes my work (yes, even the people who spam my PM box with requests for 1,000 new covers).
As for my "special announcement," the Cover-A-Day method made me realize a few things...
1) I still love making custom covers
2) I don't have the free time that I did in previous years
3) The Cover-A-Day method was fun for a month, but not sustainable in the long-term
4) There are still a lot of things I still need to make covers for AND a lot of new things coming in the future
5) If I go away for too long, things pile up and it's very difficult to catch up
6) Friendly Hi-Res members who support my work deserve to not wait around for months for something new
So, my solution is this...
Kernie's Weekly Cover Updates!!
What I'm intending to do is upload at least ONE new cover every week starting on the weekend of October 12th (I'm giving myself a few weeks to finish up some other projects and to get some new covers rolling). If I find myself with some extra time and can make more than one cover that week, then I might add a few, but I can't promise that on a regular basis. However, I'm aiming to provide a minimum of 1 new cover every week, usually uploaded on a Friday or Saturday.
I feel that by doing the new Cover-A-Week method, it will be beneficial in the following ways...
1) I can manage to find time to do one cover a week (much more reasonable than cover-a-day)
2) It will keep things from piling up and having to do a 35-cover blitz like I did this summer
3) Hi-Res members won't have to wait around for months for new covers
Now of course, this is my intention at the moment and is subject to change based on the demands of my family, job, side-jobs, and personal life. But I feel that this new Cover-A-Week model is well within the realm of feasibility and will hopefully lead to a more self-disciplined approach to designing covers.
For you, the loyal fan of the Comic Book Collection, it means more covers on a more consistent basis (and hopefully some nice praise for me in the comment section)!
I'd love to hear some thoughts on this idea! All the best and a huge thank you again to everyone who continually supports the Comic Book Collection!

Dang it, Kernie! When you said you had an announcement, I already went looking for new covers to replace all my gorgeous Kernie covers with (I found none). I was sure this was the end. And then you go and announce extreme epicness. Man! A cover a week at least! You are impressive. I'm so happy that I get to keep my amazing collection.
What a rollercoaster of emotions!
