That works really well bud! Are you keeping a colour theme of reds and yellows?

Can't decide if this is worth continuing, or if I should go with the other image as keyart...? Maybe I'm just growing tired of it.

For this, I've replaced the Scottish and Irish kingdoms with the kingdoms & Earldoms of the age. Also, worked on the map details; adding in several mythological creatures and such. I decided to remove the longships, as they didn't seem to fit in the ocean with all of the map elements now in place...
I haven't been able to find longships, drawn to fit in with the other map elements. I'll make another try, but maybe it is fruitless.

For this alternative keyart, I've worked on several details, both serpent and characters, and of course the longship in the background. Fairly pleased with how it is shaping up.

I am very rusty. Plus I'm working in a Danish retail version of Photoshop these days, and some of the filters/features I'm looking for, have different names in Danish, much to my chagrin. On top of that new tools have emerged over the last decade, some moved and some seem to have been taken out of PS

Not that I've needed it so far, having simply used the cloning tool, but could someone point me in the direction of how to use 'content aware cloning', please? Must be some easily understandable 'How to' tutorial somewhere. I'd appreciate it very much.

I think I prefer the official TT, as your first one does get a little lost in the artwork. But what do you think? I like the longships. They are a must have

If you are getting tired of doing this cover, why don't you have a break? Or start designing the back, and come back to the front? It must be a challenge to try and create custom key art, when you haven't made a cover in a while.
