That's terrible! Surely they could get in trouble for that?

There really is no internet police.

Places put all kinds of outs in their terms of service agreement you have to say yes to when you open and account then they have you.

For example if I add a line here at HC that says "I understand this account can be terminated at any time for any reason or no reason" then you join you agree to that by joining and nothing you can do if I kick you even if you paid money won't matter...

That is the new digital world we live in.

Hi Curt. Thanks for the detailed explanation on the loss of the EFX site. Glad most if not all former members from EFX are now here to continue the good work. Knowing myself from prior experiences, how hosts work, it is no surprise in how vulnerable a site can find themselves when the tables begins to turn against the host's bottom line. I guess we can be thankful for the years we had with EFX but I'm sure especially those in charge, the hurt will linger for a long spell. Lets just hope this site along with other good sites along the same lines does not meet the same faith.

Uncovered would have been killed too by same host that cut the legs off EFX in 2013 but they found a host willing to move them over for free as they are not that big and so they let them do it, else they would be gone.
Is that the host that I found and then only lasted over a year, stated about us wrongly having an archive even though they agreed to it when I enquired before signing us up to it?

Had I been approached EFX would still have a host, but no-one did.

Different host, same kind of deal though.

They broke things on the site, wounds went deep, just moving it would not have saved it.

I just got out of hospital again and I am beat, when I have more time and feel more normal I'll send you a message on what was done that I know of.

reading the whole story at once with all these twists and turns is an incredible thing.
Poor world. Lead by money...
The good news, if i might say is that most of the members are here now!
But, sad news though. Thinking about all the efforts, hours of Curt and Lucan....
