Thanks JR, but unlike many of the great designers here, cover-making wasn't my first experience with Photoshop.
It's all the more amazing that some folks have learned everything they know by solely making covers as a hobby!

First covers...
My first covers were all done with Illustrator (only thing I knew it at the time) and were my Academy set. This was my first actual cover done with Illustrator:

Bpm they are good for your first covers! Illustrator would have been a pain doing them lol

Looking at your first covers, I feel even more ashamed of mine. Made it back somewhere around... 2003-2005 (?), up until that point I had only been making desktop wallpapers. Used PaintShop Pro, and I thought I was the s**t.
