If you're looking for an alternative to the gold, using a shade of gray or red from your logo should look great too. The gold adds a nice bit of contrast as it is.
Also, if you're looking for more spine image ideas, the main dinosaur from each movie might work (either its head in a box or the full figure running/flying on the spine). Or, the ubiquitous dinosaur fossil circle logo could work as a bonus accent.
