I've ordered a new one and hoping I'm able to restore the HDD. On top of everything I was working on the Yuma cover and hadn't saved in almost 3 hours, so that is probably lost. Anyone know if PS stores some kind of backup files which can be restored later on?
Under CS6 there's a kind of automatic back up system that rename the file with "restaured" name in it as 3.10 to yuma "restaured".psd.
the place where it's stored i don't exactly know... after some PS crash it was in the same folder of the file created. (in french it's "récupéré" i don't know the exact English word)
Under CS4 / CS5 i guess, it was recovered under a strange name with .temp file name, the place i don't remember, the size of it usually makes it found quiet easily, if i remember well just rename .psd and that should work partially...
let's also try to make it dry for some days, an if you can open your laptop, try to clean it carefully (if you had not already done it!!)
good luck"I have never tried to fu*k an apple pie, on the other hand I have already tried to skip school" RockyRama, talking about teen movies.

I couldn't wait till the new laptop arrived so I've borrowed my mother in law's Dell and installed PS. Need to have something to do this weekend as my old lady is away
The temp-file was corrupted and could not be saved. I've tried to recreate what I had. Couldn't get the layout right so I wanted to try something else. What do you think?
