Hey Wilder Mike,

What database software is that, that you are using?

Been using it for years and its the best one I have found.

in the beginning i was anxious for more and more covers cause i had never seen anything else in the entire like your collection. I also assumed you just cranked these bad boys instantly, but after taking on covers myself and looking into resources for rare covers i realized that was not the case.

Either way I'm a die hard fan of your work and ive gone outta my way to use as much of any of your works as i can. your a phenomenally artist and inspiration to all and to any comic fan who makes to make their own comic collection

Thanks RRJR. It's an honor knowing that I've inspired someone to become a designer as well. It certainly makes you appreciate the work of other designers when you know firsthand how hard it is to do it yourself.

Looks like a great piece of software. I've been using My Movies Pro... the app for iphone and ipad are great, but I have a lot of problems with the OSX version. Might have to consider switching...

I thought it looked familiar, I actually use the Comic Book version of their software to keep track of my comic book collection (just gone past 1200 this week).

I've just spent the evening downloading and populating the movie version of the software with Kernie's awesome covers.

I've actually spent the last couple of weeks downloading and printing off these awesome covers and moving my collection over to space saving cases.

The only dilemma I have now is what to do with my 300 steelbooks as they don't match the collection :(

P.S. thanks for all of the awesome work Kernie, your artwork looks amazing and it makes my mild OCD happy having all of the studio logos etc finally line up on a shelf (why do studios make films in the same series not match :( :( ).

Anyway thanks again dude :)

:cool:

Ooooooooohhhhhhh! I love seeing pics of my covers on peoples' shelves (I actually don't print them myself, I just like designing them)! Thanks so much for posting them, sca648! I'm honored that you've chosen to go with my work for both your shelf and your catalogue software.

It's always great to hear that people are using my covers, but actually seeing what they look like in someone's collection is further proof that my time hasn't been completely wasted over the years.

(P.S. I went on a steelbook binge about a year ago and only have about 70-80. We don't get them in Region 1 as often as other territories, but I'm always on the lookout for which store has the steelbook exclusives now!)

I realize that my last post makes it sound like I have more steelbooks than I actually do I meant the film 300 and 300 rise of an empire.

To add to that I also have wanted & Scott pilgrim that would fall under the comic book collection. (Also three steelbooks for the hobbit trilogy, godzilla and avatar). So all in I only have 9.

I may have to move the steelbooks to a different shelf but put the discs into new cases with covers to match the rest of the collection.

I guess I read that too fast... LOL! :D :D :D

300 (the movie) steelbooks... not 300 (quantity) steelbooks!

Please don't feel like you have to move the discs from the steelbooks on my account. I love steelbooks and I totally understand not wanting to put them into plastic cases.

If I could, I'd convert my whole collection to steelbook. I have an addiction.

If you can find a way to produce all of your covers as steelbooks then I'd be golden ;)

For those of you asking about G.I. Joe... well, here it is! I believe that I have taken care of all Joe DVD and Blu-ray releases thus far. I followed the Shout Factory retail releases for the sets in the Real American Hero line.

G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero (1985) Series 1: Season 1: Volume 1
[attachment=33175:idwac_gi..._package.jpg]

G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero (1985) Series 1: Season 1: Volume 2

G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero (1989) Series 2: Season 2
[attachment=33182:idwac_gi..._package.jpg]

G.I. Joe: Extreme
This one was difficult to find decent keyart, so I ended up recoloring a comic book cover... I'm pretty happy with the result. :D
[attachment=33183:idwac_gi..._package.jpg]

G.I. Joe: Spy Troops
[attachment=33184:idwac_gi..._package.jpg]

G.I. Joe: Valor vs. Venom
[attachment=33185:idwac_gi..._package.jpg]

G.I. Joe: Sigma 6
[attachment=33186:idwac_gi..._package.jpg]

G.I. Joe: Resolute
[attachment=33187:idwac_gi..._package.jpg]

G.I. Joe: Renegades
I tried to follow the Shout Factory release of these, but decided to combine the Season 1: Part 1 and Season 1: Part 2 together into a complete series set on DVD. The blu-ray was released as a complete series, but not sure why Shout split them up for DVD.

An independent film from last year, apparently based on a graphic novel.

Richie Rich (2015 Netflix Series)
Let me know if anyone has interest in a blu-ray conversion for this. It's available on Netflix in HD, but not sure if there's another interest to bother doing a blu-ray version at this time. Also, I fixed the spines for the Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show and Richie Rich 1996 cartoon to match the "wider" spine logos of the live-action titles.
[attachment=33200:hctc_ric..._package.jpg]

Also, I've decided to stop posting the full collection spine preview in the thread, as it's gotten so large that it extends the page too much. I've posted the full image HERE and will update it as new covers are added. I'll eventually add a link to it in my signature, just haven't gotten that far yet. It's a large image file, so it might take a few seconds to load.

I haven't updated the collection database PDF in my signature either. Will get to that soon.

Enjoy! :D :D :D

P.S. I have a few new seasons of shows (namely Supergirl & Legends of Tomorrow) ready to go, just waiting for full episode lists before uploading! I hope the networks announce the titles soon because I think these particular covers came out awesome! ;)

New Kernie covers are always a great way to wake up in the morning. Thank you.

Also thought you would like to see one with the 3D logo added. Now all I need to find is a good logo for Steelbooks.
