And here's some DC Comics Blu-ray conversions, starting with...
Batman (1966): Season 1
[attachment=30060:dcts_bat..._package.jpg]
Batman (1966): Season 2
[attachment=30061:dcts_bat..._package.jpg]

[attachment=30062:dcts_bat..._package.jpg]
Batman: The Brave and the Bold Season 2
[attachment=30063:dcauc_ba..._package.jpg]
Young Justice: Invasion Season 2
[attachment=30064:dcauc_yo..._package.jpg]
Another set of episodes combined into a "movie" on DVD, much like The Batman/Superman Movie or Starcrossed...
Justice League: Secret Origins
[attachment=30065:dcauc_ju..._package.jpg]
And (finally) here's Swamp Thing: The Series! Surprisingly, there are very few resources available for this show, even Shout Factory seemed to have difficulty creating the retail artwork. I did the best I could with what was out there, and I apologize for the low-quality of the images (particularly Volume 2 & 3). I'm fairly certain that the Volume 1 and 2 artwork are from the series itself, but the Volume 3 picture might be from Return of Swamp Thing (based on the makeup around the nose). Either way, Dick Durock played the character in both the films and TV series, so the imagery is somewhat interchangeable. Sorry again for the low-res art and for the delay in getting to this particular TV series.

Here's two titles that fall into another "gray area": DuckTales and Darkwing Duck. I've decided to include them because Scrooge McDuck and many of the DuckTales supporting characters were first introduced in Carl Barks' comic strips/books based on the fictional city of Duckburg. As the only true DuckTales spinoff (Quack Pack doesn't count), I've added Darkwing as well. I also loved both shows as a kid, so these were fun ones to do!

I was also able to finally make something for the Green Hornet serials of the early 1940's. Took a little while to fashion some keyart out of the old poster materials, but I think both serials came out pretty well.

The Green Hornet Strikes Again! (1941 Serial)

Yet another "gray area" is The Adventures of Tintin... based on a Belgian comic strip. I try to stick to English-language comics OR English-language adaptations of comics, so the recent Spielberg-produced feature film and the 1990's animated series (which aired in English in the US on HBO) technically fit the criteria for inclusion in the Collection.

The last new cover is for the recent Sabrina: Secrets of a Teenage Witch animated series. I know nobody likes my Sabrina covers, but for the sake of completion, I'm including this new show as well. I know nothing about this show beyond what I learned making this cover, so I'm labeling it as "Season 1," although I'm not certain if it was renewed for a second?

And finally, a Blu-ray conversion for The Addams Family.

Utterly and totally fantastic, this was really unexpected especially today
really nice to see you back with swing
and a Happy 2015 to you too
Big Hero 6, really nice looking artwork on the front, I'm looking forward to watching this
Iron Man/Captain America: Heroes United I wasn't sure if you would make this, but I'm glad you have, really nice cover, even though the show it's self wasn't that great. I don't know what it is with Marvel, but they can't seem to make decent Direct to DVD shows, but make great films. Where as DC seem to have nailed it with the Direct to DvD shows, but not very good films .
Wolverine Vs. Sabretooth: Reborn, I didn't even know about this, so nice catch and nice artwork, apparently due for released on March 24th
Justice League: Throne of Atlantis excellent artwork, just hope the show can compare against it, due for release January 27th
Lego DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League Vs. Bizarro League good looking cover fits pretty good with your template, I like the backward "S", due for release February 10th
Look! Up in the Sky: The Amazing Story of Superman great looking cover, one of my little requests so thank you.
Batman (1966) nice conversions, I was disappointed with the artwork for the recently released Blu-Rays, plus my season 2 disc 3 doesn't play
Rest of the DC Blu-Ray conversions, excellent, thank you
Justice League: Secret Origins lol another of my requests filled thanks so much great looking cover.
Swamp Thing Wahoooooo
thanks so much, mine have been stuck on the shelf with post it notes inside the case, for ages just patently waiting knowing that one day covers will be made, so thanks once more
DuckTales, really nice covers, far better than the retail covers thanks.
Darkwing Duck again really nice covers, far better than the retail covers thanks.
The Green Hornet WOW, these look bloody gorgeous
Thanks so much for putting so much work into them and to make a cover for each thanks
great logo on the back.
The Adventures of Tintin brilliant, I like the logo on the movie and the series
Sabrina: Secrets of a Teenage Witch good looking cover.
last but not least The Addams Family, brilliant
Thanks so much for all the time you have put into these new covers,
I hope 2015 is a much better year for you, again thank you
Now to download them and start printing

I was pleasantly surprised by Iron Man/Cap, but I watched it on Netflix and had zero expectations for it. The rest of Marvel's animated output has left a lot to be desired in terms of quality, but they seem to do be doing well ratings-wise and are probably more popular with kids, which is the target audience after all.
I don't really care for Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers Assemble, and haven't seen Hulk: Agents of SMASH, but if they are getting young viewers interested in the Marvel universe, they're doing their job. My interest in comics started from the 90's Marvel cartoons (and Batman: TAS), and many of them don't hold up well today. Hopefully these new animated shows spark the imagination of this current generation and as they grow, they'll find the more adult-oriented Marvel films (if they haven't been watching them already).
I'm still skeptical about DC's live-action film universe and I've even lost interest in the Direct-to-DVD movies as well. I still buy them and watch them once, maybe twice, but the standalone nature of most of the films has gotten tedious. The Justice League animated movies have started to have some loose connections with the New 52 adaptations, but not much. Hopefully DC starts to get their act together and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (such a lame and sterile title) gets them back on the right track in the live-action realm.Darksaber wrote:QUOTE (Darksaber @ Jan 1 2015, 07:07 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Batman (1966) nice conversions, I was disappointed with the artwork for the recently released Blu-Rays, plus my season 2 disc 3 doesn't play
Sorry to hear that the disc doesn't work. Hopefully you're not missing much. I bought the collector's set on day one but haven't really watched the actual discs, I've been using the Ultraviolet digital copies that were included with the set to watch the majority of the series. Yet another show that I remember being better when I watched it as a kid. A lot of the campiness and (intentional) cheesiness went over my head as a 7-year-old.
Honestly, I find my covers for the Batman TV show to be somewhat lacking and wish that higher-res resources were available, but I have little desire to go back and rework them.Darksaber wrote:QUOTE (Darksaber @ Jan 1 2015, 07:07 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Swamp Thing Wahoooooothanks so much, mine have been stuck on the shelf with post it notes inside the case, for ages just patently waiting knowing that one day covers will be made, so thanks once more

Glad the Swamp Thing covers were worth the wait! They were a pain in the butt to make, since there is practically nothing out there in terms of keyart, stills, promo photos, etc. I am so glad to be done with them and cross them off the to-do list.

great logo on the back.
Thanks, I'm very pleased with how they came out as well. Perhaps I can do some similar tricks to the Flash Gordon and Dick Tracy serials that I still have yet to do.![]()
Thanks again for the detailed comments Darksaber, it's always great to hear your feedback and individual thoughts on each cover. As grateful as I am to all members for any interest in this collection, it's very satisfying when someone takes the time to post about individual titles. The small details in each cover probably go unnoticed by most people, especially when I do these bulk uploads, but you always seem to spot and acknowledge the subtleties as well. I truly appreciate your continued support and friendship!
