I have a few ideas for covers that I've never seen that I think everyone would really enjoy. I don't have the skill to make them myself (I tried Number 3 and it did not go well...at all). Let me know what you think, I can't be the only fanboy with all this crap! :grinod:
1. I have the 3 disc deluxe version of Spider-Man, this was basically the original 2 disc dvd with a bonus dvd, but I bet a lot of us out there have the deluxe and the cover shows 2 disc.
2. I have a 3 disc Daredevil Set that I made with the Director's Cut and the original 2 disc dvd but the cover shows 2 disc.
3. I have always wanted a Constantine 2 disc cover that actually says Hellblazer or John Constantine: Hellblazer on the cover, just because it should always have been called that.
4. The 3 disc director's cut of the original Hellboy which many of us have.
5. The Watchmen Ultimate Cut (with the animated bits) blu ray.
6. A good The Crow cover.

This is a dream list for me, just throwing it out there as some cool ideas. Not that you wouldn't have your hands full with all the other superhero movies. I love your work, please keep it up, I think your work is the most widely renowned on the site! Basically we should all be encouraging you and showing we that we appreciate you, and that's what I see on here, this is a great community!

Is anyone else a big enough fanboy to agree with anything on that list? This set is just unreal, and I can't wait to see what you have in store for us in 2010!

Cheers mate!

Punisherchad,

Thanks a lot for the compliments, they are very very appreciated and I need as much enthusiasm from other members if I'm going to embark on the long journey of live action covers in this template.

As for your list, however, I realize that some people do all sorts of funky combos with their DVD's to save space (like combining regular cuts with separately-released director's cuts or the extra bonus discs that Best Buy, Target, etc. like to throw in to entice customers), but I try to stick to what the studios have officially released. I know this doesn't help your cause, but I'd never get any other covers done if I tried to make a cover for every possible scenario (thinpacks, elite blu-rays, amaray blu-rays, 3-disc bonus disc, etc.). So, unfortunately, I've really got a lot of work ahead of me with these live action covers and I'm going to try to make them to exclude any specifics about disc count, but I doubt I'll be able to accommodate everyone's wishes.

I'm also not keen on changing the title of Constantine to reflect the actual comic book title. The movie is called Constantine, and regardless of what it technically should be called, the movie was always known by Constantine and I think it would just get confusing for some folks.

Thanks for the ideas, though! I'll definitely try to give you something that fits your needs while still matching the retails specs of the DVDs, but I can't promise it will match your situation precisely.

And I definitely will get to the Crow eventually (although it's a bit further down on my list)... :D :D :D

It's gonna be great seeing all the various comic book titles getting this treatment. Gonna be a helluva lot of work though. Not only is there all the classic Marvel and DC stuff but you also got your various oddball stuff like Bob Burden's "Mystery Men" or Steve Gerber's "Howard the Duck" and Alan Moore's "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen". Dude you're gonna hit 200 covers in no time cause there ain't no end of comic book movies.

You're right, donger, there are a lot of titles that I can include, but I compared to the animated stuff, resources are much much easier to come across. So, hopefully, once I get the template finalized, it should move a lot smoother than the start/stop type of way I've been doing the animated covers.

These covers are nice because I can do them to unwind as by this point, I don't really have to think too much about them, its just plugging stuff into the template. Stuff like my Watchmen, Jennifer's Body, and G.I. Joe were slightly more of a challenge because they were entirely new projects. I know it will take a long long time, but as long as I take breaks from it and go do other things, I don't see it being a problem... :D :D :D

1,4,5,6 are all official studio releases that weren't exclusive to anywhere, but I totally understand where you're coming from the only one's that I made special were 3 disc daredevil and the constantine/hellblazer question, which I can agree with as well. If you look on Amazon you can see the others. I was just thinking you could do a director's cut for watchmen and an ultimate cut, and a regular hellboy and a director's cut. Most people will have the director's cut of hellboy which is three discs and watchmen is a toss up. Anyway just ideas, appreciate the response and feedback! Keep up with the great work!
