Discuss what you like in here. But try and keep it reasonably civilised!

Hmmmmm. I may not be the best choice, besides, we have a lot of good designers now and it would be great to give someone else the opportunity to represent this site. ;-)

You'd do well as a Judge, tho, Al! ;)

As many talented artists as there are on this site, it's hard to imagine a Top 3 candidates list for designers or judges without Venome on there. :)

Somewhat related, one motivation behind the Front Covers Only move is that I'm hoping the fun will continue after the competition, with designers opening WIP threads and maybe some collaborations (maybe even using one entry as a front and another entry as the basis of a back design).

So, even if some outstanding designers are missing from the Competing Designers list, hopefully there will still be plenty of opportunities for everyone to kind of join in. :lotsoflove:

I'm open to being involved in any way i can. I wouldn't rule out participating as a judge or designer :)

That's a huge compliment BD.. and it's appreciated. I'm more than happy to be involved in some capacity - even if it's merely providing artwork :)

A short while back, JollyRoger suggested a possible way to raise the stakes and excitement of this competition:
The winning designer's site gets to host/organize next year's Cover Site Battle Royal.

What does everyone think of this idea?

Would you be comfortable following the competition to the winning site, or is the current format with a neutral center necessary in order for the Battle Royal concept to work?

On a scale of 1-5, what are your thoughts?
1 - I would not visit another forum.
2 - I prefer the current format.
3 - Neutral
4 - I like the idea.
5 - I love the idea of the winning designer's site hosting next year's competition.

For my part i'm neutral , cause if the wining site isn't a english site it will be a bit hard for a lot of people i think ? But it's sad for you cant participate at this comp !

So i voted 3 :D

1. I don't see it as raising the stakes, and I like the current organization and neutrality.

There are English-speaking contacts at all of the sites, so it could probably be dual-language in that case. :)

I'm not too worried about that. :D But someone else could always take over the position in the current format if it came to that. :)
