Ok, this head business is turning into a major headache, lol! With his head turned like that, it's very hard to find a suitable substitute among my promo shots...

Instead I tried toning down the effect, I was using to bring back a little more definition and color.
Also worked some more on the hair details.

Will this work?

i think for superman 3 you should change the background to more of a blue tone if possible cause it just stands out as superman returns to much to me i know that's where the image is from but the color tone matched the other two more i think it might more.

As for the other i think they look great, imo

Thx RR :) I'll add another sky in a different color. I agree that the background image reeks of Soops Returns, but I really lack good environment shots from back then..

Would you consider the thought of using a sketch filter on the images, would take away any concerns of lower res images and probably wouldn't be out of place on a comic book style cover, it's just a thought bud :)

Yes, used that on the background on The Amazing Spider-Man; want to use it again, but after installing Mountain Lion, the filter doesn't work properly. I'll have to reinstall it, I think. I don't wanna use it on Soops tho

Thx THM :)

Here's the first attempt at the spines. Thinking the soops is a little too faded, I'll work on making the outline work better.
